Rats! OH just wiped out what I had typed. I hate when that happens!
Our last guests are here and we had a busy day yesterday out to lunch, dinner and an after-dinner place. The latter is a new place, quite cozy, intimate and open later than the restaurants around here which close at 9. A good find. Today we are going for an airboat ride, outdoor music at one of our favorite local places this afternoon, then dinner at home at the "kids" request. Mike and I are happy not to go out again tonight even though we have to go to the store to get something to cook.
I have been having troubles with reflux off and on lately but it was really bothering me yesterday. I guess I need to travel with Zantac and Tums available. Before VSG I was on daily omepresole but I hope I don't have to go back to that.
Did anyone used to watch Sex In The City? There is a limited series following up on it with the actors in there 50's on HBO Max. I wonder if it will be any good?
Thats it for now - time to get walking. Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

I had a nice day yesterday. Lunch and a movie with one of my friends. We saw House of Gucci. It needed about an hour cut off of it! And I didn't remember any of the news from that from the 90s...
Just reading about all of the tornadoes last night. My heart breaks for all those poor people. Tornadoes are so incredibly scary.
Not sure what I'm doing today. No plans. It's chilly and sunny here, so maybe a walk.
My eating has it's ups and downs. I need to be more consistent with the ups.
Have a great day!
I hate when a movie (or book) is stretched out longer than it should be. We rewatched the Titanic recently and came to the conclusion that it was also one hour too long.

Greetings All
The rain has arrived. If it was freezing here it might be 8 inches of snow. Actually 20 or 30 miles inland it will be snow. But its a calm rain today but more storms and wind predicted for tomorrow. DH is charging our batteries in case of power outage so we can run the tv, refrigerator and forced air for the gas furnace. It still amazes me how common power outages are out here. Rarely happened in the midwest.
DD your talk of snow makes me almost want to see some. I so remember waking up to snow on a school day and hoping school would close. And my parents wishing otherwise. Seems like it had to be super bad for things to close. As an adult I remember questioning if I should go to work on a bad day but deciding I should at least try and arriving just fine. I also remember spinning out on the interstate and being backward in a ditch!
Squealing puppies Peps! Our Poppy is not a barker but she does whine when lonely. One of our pups would let out these blood curdling yells in her sleep. Still does. They are little individuals. You are really in the "its a lot of work" phase. Sorry your knee is bothering you still but I think you are right to avoid surgery. Sounds like you have a really good PT.
I never watched Sex and the City so probably won'****ch the new one. We are now watching the most recent "All Creatures Great and Small" which is delightful even though they messed with the books.
Yeah Liz, i was on prilosec all the time before vsg. You have my sympathy. Not fun.
So I met with the person who is taking over my gallery treasurer duties. What a relief to "down load" those boxes of stuff and that responsibility. I am volunteered to work at the studio tomorrow for a couple of hours for our holiday pottery sale but I suspect the weather will be horrible. We have been keeping it all outside due to covid and that works well except the credit card machine has to be passed through the office window.
So I guess I will spend this rainy day puttering around the house. Putting away laundry and maybe sorting and tossing papers. The same as I resolve to do every day but never manage.
Peace all. Diane S
I am settled in my safe paradise. I went to the Florida house to remove the rest of my belongings. Police cleared the house upon arrival and neighbors helped me all day.
Sadie is a gem beyond words ! She and my support system are helping me power through. My therapist supporting my recovery from C- PTSD and trauma bonding had to take emergency medical leave following unanticipated surgery. I meet with my new therapist for the first time next week .
Weight holding at 139, the low end of my range. Lots of healthy food and activity abound. I am so grateful to have successfully escaped and relocated.
