Quick post as we are just about to pick up DD and her BF at Universal. It will be a busy next few days but our turnaround day yesterday went well as we got done what we needed to and even had some beach time.

I can't believe we will be on Cape Cod this time next week!

Have a safe snd healthy Friday!

TGIF!

We had our first frost last night. Winter is here. I know.... a very low bar for winter weather here in CA.

Another difficult night in Puppyland. The pups have discovered their voices. Several of them "sing". It's cute, not cute all at the same time. LOL! Liza is a champ at ignoring them when she is tired, but I am not so gifted! Little Yellow, all 28 ounces of herself, will sit, throw back her head and warble. You can tell she gets great pleasure from doing so. The only way to get them to stop when they are on a roll is to get Liza in the box to feed them - even if she's just fed them 30 minute ago!

Two Krispy Kreme doughnuts may have made their way down my gullet today.... Won't let it ruin my day.... The first one was FANTASTIC. The second one, eh... not so much.

PT was a bust in one sense because there is nothing PT can do to help me. My legs are super strong, no muscle loss (duh), calf and quad muscles are symmetrical. No atrophy in the involved leg. As far as arthritis, it is very, very minimal. PT thought my knees looked much better than average for my age - especially considering my bone disease. He diagnosed me with two meniscus tears (though an MRI is the only way to confirm), but given that I have full range of motion in both knees and extremely strong legs he recommends letting the knee heal on its own without surgical intervention. If there is no improvement in a month, then another cortisone shot and rest for another month. If still nothing, then MRI and surgical referral. I can live with this. At least he confirmed what I believed all along was the issue - torn meniscus.

I would love a nap....

Cheers everyone!

Good news on the knee, I guess? Hopefully the cortisone will help. Love the puppies singing!

Liz, I saw the photos your daughter tagged you in on Facebook. Looks like a good time.

Peps, do you think the cortisone will help with the pain at least while you try to heal?

We had an early release day because of a winter snow storm warning. The meteorologists are right on the money so far, they said snow would start at 1pm and about 12:45 the first snowflakes appeared. Since there are elementary schools in session until 4pm, its a good call to have the busses running two hours early.

We have tickets for a show tonight. The snowfall is predicted to be much higher south of Minneapolis in my suburb (6-8 inches or maybe even a foot of snow) so we have decided to stay in the city overnight, rather than drive into the blizzard trying to get home. I had a free night with Holiday Inn, and there is one 3 miles from the theater, so it worked out well. We'll leave here before the accumulation gets to be too much, and come back tomorrow after it is all plowed. DH does have to work Saturday, but not until noon. It all falls into place.

I hope the show was wonderful! Good thing that you chose not to contend with too much driving in the snow. I used to do a lot of that when younger but really don't like it at all now.
