Good morning! I'll get our thread going this morning. Well the snow did show up last night, just a dusting, but winter has arrived.

Our house is full of treats! DD s friends have sent cookies and cupcakes from swanky bakeries. Help!

My DH really got hit by the Moderna booster. He kind of rallied yesterday afternoon, and did join us at the concert. But during the night he fell quite ill again, and described himself as fighting for his life. I didn't fully fall asleep until around 4am, because he was so restless.

Time to get ready for "tea". The weekends sure go by quickly.

Yeah and BOOOOOO for your snow. A light dusting is always pretty when it is fresh, but that also means it's COLD! Be strong with the treats. It's so hard when the baked goods are exceptionally delicious! Sorry DH is having a rough go after his booster. That really sucks.

Another day of grooming ahead of me.

I failed to get the tree up last night. I was just too pooped. I groomed Blitz, tended pups, BFF and I fixed (adjusted) new gates for the winter (hate how the seasons muck with wooden gates!) and then I gave BFF a hair cut. By the time we finished dinner it was close to 9 pm and I was just done for the day. We watched Home Alone on the TV.

My weight dropped 1.5 pounds just on account of because. I know fluctuations are normal, and admittedly I like the downward fluctuations, but I still don't really like the upticks!

Fly-mageddon has eased up. Yesterday I installed hanging magnetic screen doors for the dogs to help keep flies at bay. (oh, yeah, I did that, too!) Fingers crossed those help.

So sorry that DH was so miserable after the booster. I felt like DH described after my first shot (but I had Covid previously). After the second I was just a little tired and nothing other than a sore arm after the booster. Mike got a sore arm with all 3 but nothing else. Weird how it is different for everyone.

We are at the pool and just had a fantastic rainbow after a lunchtime rain shower. We sat under an awning for lunch while it rained and it was quite nice. They are renovating the indoor room and patio here and you can already see how nice it is going to be. I think the idea is to have happy hours and more casual dining here with more formal dining at the main clubhouse. Because the beach club is further away a shuttle bus will run for those worried about driving after a few drinks. If DD was interested in a Florida wedding by the ocean it would be a beautiful place to have it but if she does get married I think she will prefer Cape Cod.

Not much else on the agenda other than hanging out with Mike's sisters. They seem to be having a good time and are relatively easy guests.

Have a safe and healthy Sunday!

Greetings all

No snow here. Just fog and more fog. But I do like it. Better than excess heat.

Did the studio today and ran errands. I am making chicken soup with coconut milk and lime. DH thinks its a great delicacy. Bought the already cooked chicken breast at the deli.

Yikes DD, sounds like your DH had a bad trip on the booster. We had pfizer and just had sore arms but I have heard other people made sick by moderna. Sometimes I wonder if its working at all if I didn't react more to it. Not gonna test it on the new variant.

We starting watching the Beatles documentary last night. One segment. Its pretty good and takes me back to my youth as it shows evens in 1969 and thats the year I graduated high school and started college. Its fun to see the fab 4 looking young and energetic (even if it does include yucky Yoko)

I spent Friday fighting with the computer and on the phone with a tech support place from the studio bank so I could get our loan forgiven. Its a 2 page piece of paper but it took me hours to do it because either I am a computer dolt or whomever designed the computer program is a dolt.

OUr neighbors have put up a giant inflatable dinosaur in a santa had plus baby yoda and other stuff. Whatever happened to those cool icicle lights?

Well, hungry dogs await me. They are all standing on napping DH waiting for service.

Starting The Beatles documentary is on our list of things to do. :) We recently finished Only Murders in the Building. DD and I are almost done with Season 2 of The Great. Good streaming options become even more important when Old Man Winter shows up.

Happy Late Morning Here, The morning has just flown. Got back from the farm around 10pm last night. Was a lovely day but man am I out of practice for socialising...... 3 parties in 24 hours. Tis the silly season indeed. Im working late tonight as I needed to schedule time with my director and we are just too hectic during the day.

Not a lot else to report. I think I will be eating dinner when I finally get home and curling up into bed. Im pooped

DD- Im so sorry DH has had a reaction to his booster. Hope he feels better quickly.

Peps - You amaze me with what you pack into your days. Go you :)

Liz - A rainbow after the rain just sounds lovely

Diane S - Hope the chicken soup was delicious and dogs are snoozing with full bellies
