Just one more day without company. There will be 3 more before we leave in 17 days but 2 of those will be taken up in preparation for flying North for Christmas. This fall sure flew by fast.
Yesterday I did a little bit of extra Christmas decorating so there are lights in the main room. I need them to get into the spirit and Mike seems to enjoy them as well though he said he never bothered previously just for himself. I think I would have felt depressed if I didn't do it alone or not. Sitting with the lights on in the morning and evening really cheers me up.
Today there are bills and a bit of cleaning and shopping in preparation for Mike's sisters visit.
I need to think about what to get my kids for Christmas other than just money. I like at least one thing for them to open but it is always a struggle.
Have a safe and healthy Monday!

Flying today. Waiting for my second flight to take off. I'll be home before noon. Can't beat flying west for buying time!
Our house in MI is so close to the time zone line that sometimes phones can switch on their own, so if I need to wake up for a flight, I'll manually make sure my phone is stuck on Eastern time. Unfortunately, I forgot to turn it back to adjust automatically and had a few moments of panic thinking I only left myself 10 minutes between flights once I landed in Chicago! And the gates were over a mile apart (I tracked it on my watch). I finally realized my mistake and had a good laugh at myself. I even had just enough time to get a Starbucks.
I'll be happy to get back to normal eating...
Hope you all have a good day!
Falling back to sleep after turning the alarm off is a miserable way to start back after a week's vacation! Leaving late coupled with heavier than usual Monday morning traffic meant I was several minutes late for school. Boy, I hate that! Luckily, my principal has the same commute route, so she understands and covered for me with a smile.
Weight is holding stable. Though, it's not because of healthy, planned eating. It's because I'm busy and eating only what I want when I really want it.
Yesterday did not go as planned for me. First, be assured pups are all fine and their thing went without a hitch. It was all about schedule being dictated by Ron's volunteer church obligations. Won't bore you with details, but I didn't finish with pups until 11:10 pm, had cereal for dinner at 11:20, and felt gaslit by my partner. Not a good feeling.
Only 3 school weeks before winter break. It will speed by, I am sure!
A lot of work and some stress with those puppies for sure. But in the end you love it!

Hi everyone! Yesterday was lovely, as we got to spend some quality time with our nieces and nephews and my BIL and SIL. It was great to catch up on what is happening in their grown up lives, and reminisce about all the shared childhood adventures. When they were little, I would take care of them every Tuesday morning so my SIL could go to Mass in peace. There were 6 of them and 2 of ours, so it was always something!
Work was fine, but I hate waking up at 6am so, so much. I worry when I'm retired ill switch to Elvis hours.
Diane, I've thought about Shel in the last week too. Such humor, and warmth. I think she would have been such a comfort in this Covid era too, as she was always willing to share her expertise.
I always thought I would sleep a Lott later when I had the chance but I am always up at 6:30-7 (7 feels really late).

Running in - way late
Happy Belated Thanksgiving to you all
Things have been crazy, there is much going on over here - some good, some stressful but the days are just flying by
I finished my Christmas wrapping Sunday morning - I just have $ to put into envelopes
DSD and her partner came for the afternoon and dinner Sunday - it was lovely to spend time with them.
Going to DSS House tonight and taking dinner. Summer has decided to arrive - temperature of 30 Degrees today and that means our work in commerical irrigation is crazy busy as everyone wants to irrigate to keep green - go to turn on the systems and find they have a fault over winter. Queue Chaos
I had best run, I have a buyer coming to collect a work ute we have sold. Hes flying in from NSW. Best cross check the paperwork etc
Love to you all and I miss Shel too
