VSG Maintenance Group

The crew is gone and Mike and I are left to finish packing up. The two of us did go out one last night. Amazing how busy it was here on a Friday night. At this point I am looking forward to getting home and back to normal for a couple of days. Then Mike's 2 sisters arrive for 8 days.
We did a Survey for the group to get feedback. Not surprisingly they liked the place they went to for 10 years better partially because it was their tradition. But they did like the pool in the backyard here. One of the big issues was having a bed for everyone. With 11 people that would be pretty tough even where they used to stay. There are only 2 pairs, so that means 9 beds are needed. Kind of difficult. I believe this vacation was less expensive which I think is partially the goal now that Mike is retired, but I am not sure they kids understand that.
Anyway, I am off to change and pack. Time to get back to somewhat normal for at least a couple of days!
Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

Liz you sure have a busy life! Entertaining is your new career. I'm sympathetic to Mike's kids and the bed issues, but it does also seem a difficult problem to solve. That's a lot of beds for one rental. I'm not super happy when I end up on an air mattress or a sleeper sofa in the middle of the livingroom but sometimes you have to tell yourself you're just not going to get enough sleep, and that's tradeoff for all being together.
Yesterday and today I slept in, which felt awesome. I putzed around, not doing much. I finished reading a book about Marie Leveaux, a voodoo priestess of New Orleans. She was alive and practicing her craft in the 1800s. An interesting, powerful woman who is still being talked about today.
Today we're going to go to a movie when DH gets off work. I might need to do some paperwork for school that I blew off on Wednesday. So not an action packed day by any means.
Happy weekend to everyone!
