Rain, rain go away... At least it isn't windy, driving rain and we really need it.
My visit with my childhood friend was fun yesterday. We talked constantly and caught up. And last night Mike and I went to a fundraiser at the clubhouse which was also good. We saw people we have met before and met new ones. And he has been getting to know guys through golf who are impressed by his play (which he is constantly downplays which is consistent with his personality). But we learned that knowing what to wear is not always clear. In fact someone remarked that there should be a bit more guidance for many events. Half the men had sport jackets on with Christmas ties and most of the woman were in Christmas holiday dress. Who knew?
I spent this morning rearranging shelves on the living room built-ins and removing items with colors I don't like. So now the room is at least in shades that I like vs. what some decorator thought a guy would like. This afternoon we are going to get a new lantern for the front of the house as the existing one has lost all the paint (though Mike doesn't care, LOL). The electrician is coming Monday to install the new fans in the living room and the new front light. My nesting instincts are already planning cabinet door and shower door replacements in the bathrooms for next year. I think I have a plan which will refresh both baths to a level I am happy with for about $2000, which I think is super reasonable.
Have a safe and healthy Friday!

Liz, I would struggle not to yell, "It's Nov 4th! What are you all doing in Christmas outfits?!"
I had a lazy day yesterday and was so tired, I fell asleep at 7. And then woke up at 9:30 when my Indian neighbors started setting off little fireworks to celebrate Diwali. Then I was up until 2. Argh. At least I like them! MI guy happened to text (he has weirder sleep patterns than I do lately) so we texted for a while. Fun.
Weight was down a pound to 185 this morning. I haven't been eating great so it's weird, but I guess I'll take it.
Today is my last doctor's appt from the post-return catch up. Ooh, I lied, I need to schedule my gynecologist appt, mammogram, and colonoscopy, but I'm in no hurry for those.
Hope you all have a nice Friday!
Greetings All
Rainy all day here. I oversleep in the morning worse when it is not sunny. But rain is what winter is all about up here so its good. Water always needed.
My friend with alzheimers is on hospice now and not doing well. I feel for her husband. Part of me wants to go see her and part of me wants to avoid this. In truth, I am afraid her husband will rope me into sitting with her as he is not shy about asking for favors. She falls and the fire department has to come and pick her up. She is barely eating or drinking.
Jeez, Christmas stuff already Liz? The Halloween stuff is still up in our neighborhood. I refuse to do ugly christmas sweaters so soon.
Woofstock Peps!! I went to that show once and did not know they were going to do all that. It was fun. Hope you win.
We have finally finished off the party leftovers and now move on to take out that DH brought home from lunch today. Eating healthy seems like a major chore.
Got the dogs some yak chews on advice of my niece. They love them. Even old dog Chip is interested.
Well Cecily just think of all that medical maintenance stuff as self care. I have had to be assertive to get mammograms in this pandemic but I do so - lost too many friends to that. And hey, late night texting can be fun. Who knew?
I did a bit in the studio today but it was not into it.
But boy am I into The Morning Show. Such a great drama. We finished season one last night. There is a season 2 but no 3 yet. I am actually researching it.
Thats about it. Diane S
I can't seem to get into Apple TV from the TV here in Florida. We have one more Ted Lasso to see and the entire second season of the morning show.
