Today looks like it will be another pleasant fall day in Florida. I think it is my favorite time of year here (except for the previously described biting insects which we never had before).
I power washed the lanai yesterday and it looks great! We also bought two new tropical fans for the living room as the stock white ones are in rough shape (one doesn't work at all). And the first coat of spray paint to make the formerly red painted coral decorative pieces shades of teal and blue are on. More paint today and I also have a beginner ladies golf clinic at 11. I am trying to get to a point where I am not completely frustrated and can do nine holes with some level of enjoyment. Almost EVERYONE here plays golf and of course Mike loves it.
Not much else going on. Eating was decent yesterday and hopefully will continue today. I am shooting for weigh-in tomorrow morning.
Have a safe and healthy Tuesday!

Good morning.
Glad you have a check in system in place, Ocean Diane!
I had a very indulgent eating day yesterday. Just way too much chocolate was available to me during the afternoon hours and being tired I had very little resistance in reserve! At least dinner was early and that put a stop to the grazing! LOL!
Had an x ray yesterday. The results showed only mild degeneration of the joint. The x ray was inconclusive, so I am pushing for further exploration of the knee issue. There is no reason shown in the xray for me to have this amount of daily pain. I'm sure I have a soft tissue injury, but without knowing what it is, we don't know how to treat it, is my opinion. I have requested an orthopedic referral and MRI. Will see where that leads. When I tore my calf muscle, it was functional in about 10 days. I have passed the 7 week mark since the knee blew.
Professional development day was "meh", but I did learn something about myself, which will help me on my journey through life and weight resolution. I was unaware that I have transitioned to identifying as someone who suffered childhood emotional abuse. In one way it makes me chagrinned to say that because I don't believe the type of emotional
NEWS BREAK - we just had a little earthquake! How fun!!!!
abuse I incurred was really severe, (you know, Sybil or Three Faces of Eve severe) but it affected the way I lived my life, how I viewed myself and my relationships with others. So, I guess that counts as a type of emotional abuse, right?
Kids can start getting vaccinated soon. It will be so nice to ditch the masks at school. Not sure that will happen this year, but I'm looking forward to it!
Good Morning All
Popping in from work - Feels like a Monday after having a Public Holiday yesterday. We met up for a BBQ at DSD house. It was a lovely day. I have missed them all so much.
Fighting another mild bout of Vertigo - hate the fact it comes on so suddenly. Ended up leaving work at 2.30pm Monday afternoon, home to bed for 3 hours. I ended up being ill and couldnt keep fluids down with the dizziness. Im back at work and just taking it slow
Not much else on the list for today. DH is home from the farm for a week so it will be nice to spend some time with him.
I had best run - love to you all

What is causing it? Is it definitely not Meniere's (it sounds exactly like what my MIL went through for years)?

Liz, I'm so impressed you are going for this golf thing. I've thought about it, because mostly, golf courses are so pretty, but also, I think DH would like it if I could play a 9 hole course with him.
A more tranquil day at work, I am resolved to remove a few things from my plate, things I could do with less precision (paperwork) that would have no bearing on outcomes for the kids. There are special ed paperwork mandates that will never matter to anyone but a state auditor, and some paperwork mandates that can have a huge impact on a students academic life. I like being competent in all realms, but something had to give, so obviously, I need to give my energy to what impacts kids.
My eating is very unstructured. I need to address this. I am excited about the Fair life protein drink though, because my bloodwork showed my albumin number (protein?) has dropped below the normal range. Nobody seems very concerned about it except me. My doctor suggested I eat more protein. These shakes should be an efficient way to boost the number.
