Almost Halloween (and almost November). Time really does fly!

Well, the pictures taken yesterday are amazingly good. We got to pick from the proofs immediately for the member album and staff system (they will use the photos to be able to figure out who people are so they can use their names). Mike and I looked really good together. At some point I think they will try to sell us photos but apparently not at the time of the sitting. I have been told that they are very expensive so we shall see.

And our dinner out with my local friends was fun and the food was excellent. I ate 1/2 of my salmon meal and a couple of bites of bread pudding, but overall it wasn't too excessive (other than the wine).

This morning I am going to yoga for the first time since Covid hit. Should be interesting. I feel VERY inflexible these days so I expect it will take some time to get up to snuff again.

Not much else going on. Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

Up at 5 when my subconscious mind decided to tell me I was not out of laundry detergent and had stashed a bottle in a weird place before I left 6 months ago. So I had to get up and check to see if I dreamt it or if it was real. Then I figured I might as well do laundry since I was up and had detergent.

184.8 today. Not bad. I had a good day yesterday. Got my blood drawn (first of three) for my thyroid, which is high again and may be why I can't sleep and have gotten away with the peanut m&ms. I had lunch with a friend who is getting a divorce (yay, her husband can only be described with 4 letter words) and got my eyebrows done. Also spent too much time trying to figure out how to get a software update to install in my car (poor design on their part).

Today is errands and dinner with the 3 musketeers. A walk would be good now that it's cooler too.

I feel like you told us about the husband before? Sometimes divorce is really for the best.

I hope you can get your thyroid issue under control easily.

Yea on the formal pictures, Liz !! Have fun on your walk Ceci ! I did laundry this morning too ! My carriage house is behind the main house and a gate locked with a four number code pad. There is a picket fence with a self closing gate between the front yard and my car, on the street. I am hoping to pack as much as possible tonight after early dinner with DD and her DH. I'll make a final tour of Stanley Park and Grandville Island before dinner, so I don't want lots in the car when I have it in a parking garage.

Hope the GOAT works out well this weekend, everyone gets re-energized, foots heal, and yes, divorce can be exactly the right thing !

At the dog show and learning to enjoy Goat v2.0. It has "stuff" that I am not used to that I didn't really understand. The 50 amp and 30 amp connections at my parking site don't work. Not a big deal, I think. I can use the inverter to power the microwave for dinner. OOPS! Nope, can't do that. I almost depleted my house batteries using the inverter to power the microwave. NOT THE RIGHT MOVE! LOL! I found a 120v plug about 100 feet away and used all my extension cords to get power to the rig. Batteries all recharged! Come to find out that the RV guy was not right about using the microwave with the inverter. The inverter is for little things, like alarm clocks and charging phones, not running blow dryers and microwaves! Another lesson learned.

I didn't eat until 2:30 today. Frankly, I wasn't hungry, so it didn't matter.

I splurged for dinner, though. I ordered Door Dash (because I didn't want to eat the Healthy Choice turkey TV dinner I brought - are they still called TV dinners????). There is a small, local chain Italian-Pizza restaurant that used to have a restaurant near us. Our location closed a few years ago - even before COVID, I think. There is one a few miles from the fair grounds. I ordered two big meatballs and a salad. Dinner was delicious and I have left overs!

Blitz did well today. Mostly, I'm pleased that he is becoming more reliable in the ring. Fewer pouting episodes... yes, he pouts. I have to remember he is still really a puppy.

Safe travels Diane O. Let us know where you are heading on TT. Also, was going to suggest that you might want to set up check ins with family while you are traveling just in case he who was once known as DC appears. I know you worry about that. Having set check ins would alert family should something be amiss. Hate to say things like that, but best to play it safe where DC is concerned.

Ceci, for some odd reason, I'm delighted that you are back in California. Silly, isn't it? But, I am!

Liz, can't wait to see a pic from your session.

Diane S, how goes it with Das Boot?

DD, we both need to retire. Work is getting in the way of our lives!
