Yesterday was a good day. One of those where I had energy and got a lot done. I did well on eating until I went to my knitting group and there were a ton of snacks and I overdid. But it was really nice to see my friends again. They are wonderful.

Today is getting out for the housecleaners (my house is FILTHY after nearly 6 months empty), a blood draw, my eyebrows done, meeting a friend for coffee, car wash, Costco and whatever else I can think of to kill some time while they clean.

My friend from England is here for a few weeks so this weekend will be filled with hiking with her and our other friend. The 3 musketeers together again!

Anyway, that's it for me. Hope you all have a great day!

Sounds like you have a lot of good reasons to feel energetic!

I am down .2 from last week. Barely counts but I didn't eat great yesterday and was super thirsty last night so I might have weighed less if I'd weighed yesterday. I had 1/3 of a plate of loaded nachos for lunch, popcorn at the James Bond movie, and one slice of pizza for dinner. Not super excessive but there must have been a lot more salt than I am used to given my thirst. As Peps says, recognizing that this isn't disordered eating even if not super low calorie is important. I have learned a lot from all of you.

Our formal portrait will be taken this afternoon for the club with Mike in suit and tie and me in LBD and pearls. I don't know why but it makes me nervous.

Tonight we are having dinner with a local couple I met last spring. We have kept in touch via FB and I think it will be fun. New restaurant for Mike and me but it has good reviews. Another advantage of making friends with "locals" (the woman grew up here though the BF is a transplant).

Have a safe and healthy Friday!

Good morning !! Thanks for the Drive Weather recommendation CC ! I am planning to pick up I 80 in Evanston WY, and I 90 in South Bend Indiana. I've told my family put up a map, and I'd tell them where to place the pin every night ! LOL. I don't mind driving, and Sadie is a great traveler !! Planning on my last fresh Pacific salmon today, and going to an Afgan restaurant with DD and DSIL tomorrow. Hit the road Sunday, and will try not to trick or treat at stops for Sadie and gas.

Be safe on your drive Diane O.

Cecily, your day sounds awesome, ticking off some needed to do items, and then fun with good friends!

Liz, you will no doubt look beautiful in the pictures, but I agree, there is something intimidating about "formal portraits".

I left today after the kids left to get some things done here at home. Getting unpacked, doing laundry, maybe grocery shopping later, it all needs to be done. Tomorrow is booked up, and I forgot that I made plans to meet with some friends for lunch on Sunday, so there won't be a lot of time to take care of the minutia of life this weekend.

I need to take a moment to make plans to be more organized. I need to get a routine of ordering and having groceries delivered. I should find a housekeeping service. (Its really difficult right now, the two I've used in the past for quarterly cleanings are out of business now, others, not taking new customers). With the overage I'm doing at work, I can't stay on top of everything. I'll get it figured out.

Happy weekend, I hope everyone does at least one thing that brings them joy.

I used to have housekeepers who worked for a service called "Wife Savers". Always cracked me up.

Goat v2.0 is taped up (yes, you read that correctly.... TAPED) and ready for another dog show weekend. Sad news is that the insurance adjuster warned me that Progressive might want to "total" the RV because of it's age. I can't imagine that, but it did sort of send me into a tail spin yesterday. It will be a wait and see. The adjuster is coming on the 4th to inspect the RV. I'll know more after that.

Weight is stable. I would prefer to see myself making a few better overall choices with my food, but given that I have had a major amount of stress this week (RV, missed breedings, Halloween festivities at school, CANDY ACCESSIBILITY!, etc....) I am okay with my lack of dedication to healthy eating. I haven't binged, though yesterday, I did overdo with chocolate - but nothing in comparison to days gone by! Today is traditionally my worst day for temptation and succumbing to the temptation of chocolate during the Halloween season. So far, so good.

My third grade partner and I were the Koo Koo Kangaroo guys for Halloween at school today. Here's a link, just so you know who they are.....Koo Koo Kangaroo guys

So cute!! I hope they don't total GOAT 2.0. Hard to imagine it would cost more to fix than it's worth. It looks really nice.

My best friends Dad worked for 3M. He was pretty sure every repair could be done with a 3M tape. In high school, I used 3M surgical tape to hem my pants if I was in a hurry. Surgical tape was so strong, you could wash the pants a couple of times, and the hem would hold.

I too hope they don't total Goat 2.0. I thought the value of used RVs has climbed significantly these past 2 years...
