VSG Maintenance Group
Sunday October 10, 2021
It is 7:45 and we have been on the road for about 1.5 hours. Two more hours driving in NC. We should make it all the way today as Mike slept well. He napped before dinner and fell asleep right after. I am in my frequent travel mode and got about 4 hours of sleep last night. But at least the boys are in good shape - Justice ate and slept well, had a short walk this morning, and is very content riding in the back seat. He is such a good little egg!
I ate very little last night as my intestines also dislike traveling. I expect the same today. I had a few bites of scrambled egg before we left the hotel snd have a packed salad for lunch.
I am looking forward to rest, Florida sunshine and planned eating. Hopefully yoga starts up soon though they haven't given a date yet.
Have a safe and healthy Sunday!

Yesterday was spent in the car. I drove up to get my dad/wife and their friends who took one of the boats to its winter home. It was supposed to be a 2:45 drive and ended up almost 4 hours as one of the little towns along the way was having a fall festival and shut the highway to cars for pedestrians. Highway is a big word for what it is, a one lane each way main street. The detour was around 2 blocks and took 52 minutes. Talk about road rage. I was in a mood when I arrived and now wish I hadn't been so vocal about my anger. I'm sure I came across as quite the complainer! But I'm still pissed! It was irresponsible of the town and whoever in the highway dept let them do it.
Last night I found an acorn on my kitchen floor. No other trace of whatever varmint brought it in (chipmunk is my guess), but I need to figure out how they are getting in the house and seal it up. It feels really air tight, but obviously isn't.
Nothing else planned for today. Maybe a walk, but we have storms coming!
You're making such good time Liz! It was a good piece of luck to get matched up with Justice, he's definitely the dog for you.
Cecily, sounds like a nightmare! A traffic jam in the country. And there's not a thing you can do about it, I think that's the worst part. You're just trapped!
Yesterday felt good, because I got the house back in order and did laundry (which I still need to fold.) Also got the Costco run done, and DH went to the regular grocery store to get the things you can't buy at Costco, like fairlife milk. Today we're dropping our daughter off at a birthday party in Minneapolis, and then maybe well go out to brunch. And, of course, I will read the Sunday paper eventually.
Greetings All
Lazy Sunday here. I stopped in the studio for a bit and then grocery store.
On The Road Again Liz!! Glad your travels are going well and that Justice is a good traveler. Makes a big difference. Poppy really needs some training but not likely due to my booted foot. We got her a new collar and she fussed and fought us putting it on.
Yeah don't you hate traffic jams? We went by my gallery the other day so I could drop off some $$ to the guy who was working my shift. Streets were closed! It was a high school homecoming parade! DH had to park a ways away and walk the envelope to our place because I could not do a couple blocks of uneven sidewalks.
Our team lost yesterday in a heartbreaker. One boo boo fumble when we were ahead and all was lost. Oh well, only a game..
More meatloaf tonight. Last night was lunch leftovers. After tonight, the meatloaf goes to dogs.
I am starting to sweat Halloween! How can I have a heavy hors d'oevres ****tail party for 10 people in my tiny messy house with my foot in a boot? Looking into caterers.
Nap seems like a good idea. After laundry,
Awesome flowers Shirley!!

A Halloween get-together? How fun! I am sure you will figure it out. I look forward to some future time when I know enough people here and feel like this place is mine to do something like that.
