Interesting. The places showing as the safest right now in the US are California and the Northeast. But here only a tiny number of places require a mask unless you aren't fully vaccinated. We always carry one in case a business requires it but that is extremely rare. Sort of like Florida though they obviously aren't as safe (though the rate of infection is going down really fast there).

It was interesting to read that New Zealand finally accepted that Covid was not going to ever go away 100% (which is what most immunologists said from the beginning). I am amazed that people in Australia don't fight the lockdowns more. Though they do work they seem so soul depressing. And vaccine competition on top of that can be so exhausting.

Greetings All
Its day 5 if "Das Boot" as DH calls it. For you younger people, that was the name of a movie years ago about a German U boat in WWII. Very good tense drama as I recall. But this boot is getting old. I have the paperwork for a temporary handicapped parking card. And I am paying someone to do my 5 hour gallery duty Friday. I am going to attempt the 3 hour one tomorrow. I can walk in this boot but every step is hard because my legs are now uneven and I use muscles I didn't know I have.
Anxiety - story of my life. Yeah I hear you all on this since of impending danger that can't be identified. I always feel I must be on high alert to avoid some kind of disaster. And realistically I lead a blessed life so I don't know what is do worrying. I think some of us are hard wired this way and that we are also hard wired to overeat. Cheerful thoughts right?
Peps I will be watching for your show wins that I know will occur. Nobody grooms an Airedale like you do. Blitz rocks.
Speaking of rocky, sweet little Poppy is turning into deamon puppy. Lots of zoomies and she just tortures her old grandpa dog. She needs more exersize and training. She is now sitting on the back of the sofa staring at me through the screen we put up.
Cecily we are thinking of you and your dad. Getting older is bad enough without an array of health issues. So glad he can do Mayo.
Liz I hear you on the serior moments. The other day I went looking for a bag of dried beans only to have DH point out that I had put them to soak the night before. Duh.
Anybody eat the salmon burgers that costco sells? I think they are pretty good but DH decided he does not like them so a cooked a couple for the dogs. They think its birthday cake.
Stay safe Shirley. So sorry you are still locked up. Not an easy time to be a citizen of planet earth.
Cheers. Diane S
Anxiety and overeating are perhaps linked for many of us? "Food" for thought...

Long day. I picked my parents friend up from the airport, drove 1.5 hours to their house, stopped to buy dinner, ate with my parents, and then home. Tired, but happy I could deliver the longtime family friend. She is still quite robust and healthy, but my Mom is not. The friend said, I just need to see your Mom. Subtext: I don't want her to die without seeing her again. We don't know what the future holds, but yes, this could be the last time they see each other. I hope not. But my Mom can't travel because of her health, and her friend can't travel frequently, because of her finances. So I am happy to facilitate their reunion. Now time to sleep :)
You are a good woman DD.
