Thank heavens for my co workers (well, most of them, there is a small minority that make my work harder). I don't know how I would get through Covid 3.0 stress without them. I wonder if the landscape of education will ever return to 2019. Some changes are positive, but I see kids just floundering as they try to figure out how to do school again. One of my friends feels the workloads will become even more crushing, as people chose early retirement or career change in even bigger numbers than before. He contends there just aren't enough new teachers graduating. Its true we had special ed job openings in a seemingly nice suburban district that had no applicants. Not one. Something will have to give eventually.
My daughter is coming back from Chicago tonight. My first thought is yes, she can take care of the needy, demanding (but still very cute), geriatric kitty. Of course he is sitting next to me, purring and snuggling. He knows how to play my heartstrings.
I had the worst Charlie horse cramp last night, involving my whole thigh, and even a bit into my glutes. My husband woke up while I was gasping, and had to get up and help me. I'm almost scared to go to sleep tonight. Ugh. I really need to do something, I know you all recommend magnesium. I'd better go get some.
Very much looking forward to my weekend away.
