We are leaving for home in a few minutes. I did sleep well last night but it will be nice to be home without a puppy to watch every moment. I think Justice needs the rest too!

Not much on the agenda today other than getting ourselves home. It is a 90 minute drive from here.

Have a safe and healthy Monday!

I'm back !! Thanks for keeping in touch on TT during my transition. Things are settling in to place well. The one thing that has been consistent is my weight, staying in my 139-144 range. I am more of a superficial stress eater. Serious emotional stress limits my eating. Sadie is absolutely the best companion I could ask for. Off to take a walk right now. I'll catch up with all of your posts. I really missed this !

I have a TT post about confidentiality regarding my location.

I'm the same, Diane. Day to day stress, bring on the carbs. REAL stress/pain food sounds awful.

Sweet Barkley is gone. Absolutely the right decision, but he was still happily barking and trying to dance for his breakfast. Breaks my heart. We don't deserve dogs, but how lucky we are to have them in our lives.

It's a sunny, warm, non-windy day (a gift here in September), so I'm sitting outside soaking it up watching honking Canadian Geese fly by. I took a short, slow walk today having tweaked my hip on my high mileage day Saturday. Grrr.

The parental units head to Mayo today for my dad's latest surgery Wednesday. It's going to be quiet here alone without the puppy. The brave thing to do would be to see if MI guy wants to have dinner one of these two nights.

Being a food creature of habit, I was eating deli turkey sandwiches daily for lunch. I've been thinking that much processed turkey is probably not the best for me even though I bought high quality stuff. So I bought a little boneless turkey breast and roasted that and pulled apart for sandwiches. It's like the day after Thanksgiving every day. Num.

I think that's all I have. Hugs to all.

Hugs for a hard morning. Best of luck to your dad, too. He's been through quite a bit. I love his fight and outlook!

Cecily, Sorry for the loss of Barkley :( and all good thoughts for your Dad's surgery.

Liz, thank heavens you got some sleep, much easier to face the day.

Good to see you Diane. I'm glad that among all the other things you're coping with, you're not having to worry about weight regain.

Hi Peps, feeling good about as DH calls it, your extra ring of steel? I think any side effects are pretty much resolved for me.

I don't have much to say beyond what I've already said about work. Intense. Draining. I must remind myself again, there's a reason why I am where I am at this particular time.

Greetings

DH is engrossed in some dopey sci fi show so I have a minute.

Cecily so sorry about Barkley. He will be missed.

Ocean Diane glad you have a place and some time to yourself.

Last night our next door neighbor called to ask us to turn off the light on our deck. She said she was sitting on her deck chilling out and with a fire and wanted our light out. Tee Tee she was soooooo stoned!!! Only in Humboldt county. Good neighbor so we turned off the light. This is the neighbor with the giant lime green school bus.

More chili tonight. It was kind of bland so I bought a new jar of cayenne pepper at the hippie dippier store. Jeez I opened the jar and it made me sneeze!!! I dare not eat it but DH will.

Thats about it. Later. DS
