Day 2 of puppy sitting. The two dogs are getting along well and the puppy is fairly easy to manage if allowed to blow off steam outside periodically. However, due to my own stupidity my new Haviana flip-flops are all chewed up. I protected them last night but left them out in puppy world this morning.
Our dinner train ride was fantastic last night. We ate dinner at a table for 2 in a 1917 club car. It was like going back in time. The food and service were great and we crossed the canal on the railroad bridge. So cool! Pictures will be on FB at some point today.
I ate whatever I wanted last night though I didn't fini**** This morning Mike got me a donut and I only ate half. It was too sweet! What a revelation for someone who used to crave donuts.
Have a safe and healthy Friday!

I'm home! Long trip as through sheer stupidity I was not able to change my second flight to one 4 hours earlier. You have to go through customs, get your bag, recheck it, then get bussed to the other terminals. I somehow walked right past the carousels (global entry exited to the side of them and not into them like the regular lines) and when I realized they were behind me, the doors you couldn't get back through were closing. So 5 United workers later (2 extremely helpful guys, 3 rude women) my bag was retrieved, but at that point it was too late to get it on an earlier plane. I felt so stupid!!
I weighed myself this morning and managed to lose 6.5 pounds on my trip. My friend gained 2. A combo of me not having breakfast to her daily toast with marmalade, my lighter soup lunches, me being 5 inches taller and pre-menopause and her hiking/walking like that all the time versus being a big increase in activity for me probably explains it. Yay! Now to keep it up. Still 3.5 pounds over my arrival in MI. But I've never done that well in a summer.
The MI guy has texted me a lot the last several days. Eek! I'm not in my element to be sure. I have this terrible compulsion to list off everything wrong with me to give him an opportunity to walk away. Fighting it, but feeling it.
Off to get some groceries and to get a much overdo hair color this afternoon...
Wow, that's a pain! We once had that happen flying through Montreal to Vancouver, but we didn't even know we were supposed to get our bags. So they arrived in Vancouver about 8 hours after we did, LOL!
Try not to stress over the guy pursuing you. Just relax and see what happens (as much as you can).

Greetings All
Nailing down the contract to get the bathroom redone. Won't happen for a couple of months but might as well start. We have had this crappy bathroom way too long and I want all kinds of old people grab bars and stuff.
Hey Cici, the question is, do YOU like this guy? If so then go for it. Congrats on losing weight while on vacation. Not an easy thing.
Ha Liz, life with a puppy! We are down to just the one. Imagine 5 like we had or 17 like Peps had!!! I am working with Poppy to get her to walk on a leash and should have done it much sooner. DH has been taking the older dogs out on a leash and they so love it even though they have a backyard at all times.
Studio day yesterday and today. Then I think I will make chili tomorrow for a football day. That means a store trip.
Worried about DianeO.
New iPad will arrive today! I got the stylish new lavender cover. Fortunately DH will set it all up and transfer all my stuff from the old one. Some new bras will also arrive but they are not lavender. Just big enough to fit my old lady saggy boobs.
Donuts! Takes me back to the office days where someone brought donuts every time a case was won or some other success. So that was most of the time. Then it was decided they were unhealthy so there were bagels or muffins. LOL. Jerky would have been a better option but celebratory jerky seems ridiculous.
Glad you are home Cecily. Airports are so confusing. I have not been in one in over 2 years and don't plan on it.
Take care all. Diane S
I need new old lady bras too. I bought some new ones last year which were supposed to be super comfortable. Well that mean stretchy so the straps stretched right out and sag happened. Time to buy again and read the fine print.
