Last full day in Florida ****il 3 weeks from now). It has been a nice break. We mostly have stayed on-campus other than getting cars serviced so it has felt very comfortable. We had dinner outside at the beach club last night and the food and service are as good as any public restaurant. They hired a new executive chef this year and he has made some great changes. I do feel spoiled here in Mike's world vs. my Florida world. Funny but my home on Cape Cod and the surrounding area are more upscale than his but vice-versa here.

Today is more errands and dinner outside at the beach. Have a safe and healthy Friday.

I took this picture on the way into the beach club last night:

Atmospheric walk through the fields in the fog this morning. Beautiful! Back at my friend's house this afternoon. Less than a week to go. Time has flown by!

Eating has been good. I usually just have coffee with my sugar-free Coffeemate for breakfast, then lunch and dinner with a tea snack somewhere in the middle. Little snacking and LOTS of walking and my shorts were very loose today. I need to keep this up when I get home! Also have ordered a bowl of soup for lunch a few times instead of a big sandwich. I should fo that more often. Very filling and usually fewer calories...

I love soup so much! I could have it for one of my meals everyday. I even like it for breakfast! I like how it can often give you a good serving of vegetables. I think ill need to make some this weekend.

I am so happy it's Friday and I'm not sure why! I really enjoy my class and am having a lot of fun co teaching with my student teacher. It's actually very nice to have a co teacher in the room. I feel like I have to up my game to model good teaching and management. I don't think my instruction or delivery is any different, but I can tell you I am planning more thoroughly because he needs to see how it's done in real life instead of in a classroom. I have my entire week planned out for next week with all lessons divvied up between Chris and me. I'm usually more of a weekly outline guy, adjusting as needed. With a student teacher I find it's more important to have a set road map and explain fully if we need to veer from the plan.

Food is "eh" this week. I have not made the effort to stock properly. I have time on Sunday and really need to make that a priority.

I thought about my weight this morning while putting on a shirt I haven't worn in a while. It's Picture Day here at school, so I wanted to wear a particular washable silk shirt with a sort of antique blue floral pattern (somewhat reminiscent of my Granny's Blue Danube china). While I really haven't lost much weight since I last wore the shirt, it fits quite differently. It is looser around the belly, but tighter in the arms. It is much more comfortable than it used to be.

Anyhow, I think this is an example of what people like to call converting fat to muscle. Really not an accurate description, but clearly I have lost some fat and gained muscle. Muscle being more dense is taking up than the fat, my body is smaller, but gravitationally the same. Interesting. Though after seeing my photo from Picture Day, I am even more resolved to keep up my focus on fat loss.

Purchased some shake in hair fiber. BEST THING EVER! Not sure if any of you have thinning hair or your guys do, but this stuff is fantastic! It's a great volumizer, thickener and scalp coverer! I was skeptical, but it has become part of my morning routine. Nothing like aging gracefully, huh?

Nice to see BB's post in TT yesterday.

Happy Friday to all. Shirl should already be at the farm and waking up in just a few hours. Hope you enjoy your weekend with your Bovine babies, Shirl!

Careful where you use that hair stuff Peps. I briefly dated a old high school friend who used it and in bright lights sometimes there was black powder on his shoulders or face (which is how I figured out that he used it). I think he has actually stopped now though judging by his FB pics.

Oh, believe me.... I'm careful! I put it on before I dress and it is set with either putty or spray.

I'm with everyone else that beach club photo is amazing. Enjoy it all Liz!

Your shirt story is an amazing NSV Peps. Today was picture day at our school too, but due to worker shortages, they only had one photographer to send. The lines were so long, I didn't want to budge in front of the students as we were told to do. Hope I don't get in trouble, I don't think I will, because a lot of other teachers made the same decision.

Shirl, it was good to see you check in on your TGIF.

Cecily, I liked your reflections on Michigan guy. I hope he turns out to be a person worthy of your friendship or more. But if not... You know what to do.

OceanDiane, it's good to see your likes on posts, knowing that even if you are quiet right now, you are still with us.

And to our own Diane S. on her birthday! Congratulations on reaching another milestone with such grace, wit and kindness.

I decided to eat more today, and it was kind of crazy how much more umpfh I had after lunch. I am not losing weight rapidly, so I don't think my calories are all that low, but I've just been dragging. Or maybe it was knowing that a quiet evening beckoned that lifted my spirits. I will set aside thoughts of work for tonight and tomorrow, and try to include some things that help fill up my tank.
