So sorry about the new clot. Wait and see can be an anxiety producing course sometimes.

I got home and took my daughter to the airport, she is going to Chicago. DH and I dropped her off, and went to dinner. She missed her plane! It was needlessly cruel, when she got to the gate, the door was still open, and the gate attendants debated, in front of her, whether to let her on. One turned to the other and said, its your call, and she looked at my daughter, who is ridiciously polite, and said "no". Then they told her they couldnt help her rebook, or try to get on a standby flight, and told her to call reservations. So she went back to the ticket counter, they were going to rebook her flight, with no extra charge, but found it had been erased. They said they could change an existing ticket, but not one that had been removed from the system, and gave her a number to call. WTH??? They recovered her reservation and offered to rebook her ticket for an additional $250.00. Um, no. Ordinarily, I would say, well, your mistake, that's what you're paying. But not after they treated with such disregard. So several hours later, phone calls, asking to speak with supervisors, me getting on the phone too, and she is now flying economy comfort for the same price as today's ticket. And I finally get to go to bed. Whew. And back to the airport tomorrow! TGIF soon.

Wow! Poor DD! Have a similar story from years ago just before TWA went belly up. They ended up putting Ron and me in first class to make amends for the poor treatment we received. I would rather not have gone through all the stress, but I did feel compensated in the end.

Hope you get some decent sleep.

That's terrible! And so frustrating when the plane and jetway are still there...
