Good morning! Two more days until we return back to Cape Cod for 3 weeks.

Yesterday was a beautiful though hot day. We floated in the pool for quite a while. Last night we ate in a small local place where the owner/chef, hostess, bartender, and one of the waiters are in the same family. Nice people and great food.

Today it will be 90 so more pool floating is in the plan. Tonight we are dining outdoors at the beach club.

I think I have finally cooled off enough from our walk to go get my bathing suit on. Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

6 hours today walking around Chatsworth House, gardens and countryside. Spectacular! And exhausting!

Tried not to eat a lot and failed. Thankfully walked about 9 miles...

RV batteries installed! The fellow at the auto supply place ordered batteries with posts instead of bolts, so I had to buy adapters, but other than that, the installation was a breeze. GOAT v2.0 started right up and was driven to the storage place. So glad to have that off my plate. I can now enjoy planning my upcoming weekends. Yay!

Weight was up another pound today. I flipped off the scale and went on with my day. Not sure what the blip up is about, but it's okay. I think my high level of "productivity" in the bathroom this morning after coffee may explain the blip up on the scale this morning.

I am continuing to be more and more aware of how much real work eating properly can be. It's not just about making choices. It's about making sure I have good choices to make. That means having the planning power to shop, prepare, plan and have back up plans all AHEAD of time. With the busy life I choose to lead, I have to carve out a time to do all those things. I find it interesting how planning and shopping for healthy foods still have not become ingrained priorities for me, but hot damn, I rarely run out of ice cream! Hmmmm......

New crown gets put on this afternoon so I will go to an evening training session today. Only an hour later than normal, but late enough that I think I will ask Ron to take care of dinner tonight.

Oh, has anyone noticed that OH's spell checker was programmed with poor grammar? LOL, but it's true. The program doesn't understand the difference between then and than.

You're so right about setting yourself up for success. It's so easy to get lazy about good choices when you're under stocked...

Yes, I absolutely have to plan for success having choices available that are healthy yet satisfying. If not I will grab stuff I absolutely shouldn't be snacking on.

Greetings All

I am 70 years old today. How can that be? Seems like yesterday I was in college and law school.

So I am having cookies and milk for lunch. Only two cookies since thats all I can do and its totally ok. Once a year DH gets me these marshmallow pinwheel cookies that are both disgusting and wonderful. Tonight we go out to dinner at a place that has a fabulous ocean view. Life is good.

DH also got me a hand massager. At this age its better than jewelry. We shall see.

Tee hee Peps peed in the laundry hamper. Worst thing I have done in my sleep is eat crackers and peanuts in bed.

Poppy is teething but surprisingly undestructive. Famous last words.

Off to the studio in a bit to putter around.

DH seems to be making an effort to get rid of junk. I am thrilled. Trouble is, the mess will get worse before better because its all spread around to sort. Oh well.

Not much else. Enjoy your day all. Diane S

I hope you had a great birthday yesterday!

Those milestone birthdays are always a bit of a shock aren't they? I remember at 50 thinking I was 1/2 of the way though life (possibly as my grandmother lived to 100). At 60, I was 60%. But now in my late 60's somehow what remains seems so much shorter.

Good Morning All

Popping in - TGIF at this end. I am going to the farm tonight to help DH but have to leave at 8am Sunday in order to get back to City House.

We have now reached 70% of first dose vaccinations - and as of midnight tonight we get a few changes to our lockdown(prison sentence!) We can travel 10km from home for exercise or essential shopping. We can exercise for 4 hours outdoors instead of 2 hrs. Fully vaccinated ppl can meet in a park with one other family - as long as its within 10km. Single vaccinated ppl can only meet one other person outdoors. Given they have just started the big vaccination drive at the hubs 3 weeks ago for those over 16 - and have mandated that the second dose will now be 6 weeks from the first not 3 weeks as was for my age group - we will be a long way off getting everyone double vaccinated. We are having the carrot dangled of being out of lockdown & curfews by Christmas but I just am not holding my breath! Whinge over. I just want to be able to see my family. My grandkids ask for me all the time and dont understand fully why we cant come and see them each week like we used too.

On another note, I have another blood clot in my leg - the same place I have had the 4 previous ones. Joy ! There is still blood flow so they have decided not to treat it with thinners etc. Watch and wait strategy. Just feels like another thing to add to the list

Liz - Your pictures look lovely - I am so living through the pictures you all post. They bring me happiness

Peps - You are so incrediable with what you achieve in your days. Im in awe

Diane S - Happy 70th birthday xx

Diane O - You are in my thoughts so much as you farewell your beautiful mom. May she rest in peace

Cec - Your trip is just fabulous and that guy DOES like you...... Run with it girl. Life presents us with surprises when we least expect it xx And as we already know - you are an amazing person

DD - I have so much respect for the wonderful job both you and Peps do with the kids. They are so blessed to have you

Well I had best keep moving. I have the dentist late afternoon then a big drive. Had best get my work all sorted

Love to you all and stay safe my friends
