Thanks for the support Peps, in the end, you understand i really don't want to be anyplace else but with these kids. It's true, these first days with students are often so overwhelming. But good things happen too, so many older students have stopped by to check in. When Covid started, I had a small group class of sophomores that had been with me since they were in 9th grade. We were a tight community during our 1st hour reading class, and then the year ended so abruptly with emergency distance learning. I felt like something was stolen from us. They're seniors now, and almost all of them have checked in. It does my heart so much good to see them.
My built in exercise plan, the one where I run all over the building is going well, and I feel myself getting stronger. And there have been no treats lately, which is awesome. I eat my wholesome, delicious foods like a Greek salad everyday. So that's one part of my life that's working well right now.
Thinking about Diane O and her family.
Also, hoping Shirl is getting good news soon as the vaccination rate rises in Australia.
Great exercise and snacking plan: maybe I need to go back to work for a while! Not really, but more structure to my days, including exercise would be good. Mike and I were talking about that once we get back here in 3 weeks. On Cape Cod we have so much family and friends and variation in weather that it is difficult to establish a schedule and stick to it. At least that's my current excuse.
