Yo! I can't believe I am first this morning, but I know Liz is off to Florida, Ceci is still in the UK and Diamond D is at school, too. Funny when the west coast kid starts the daily thread.

I am still flying high from yesterday's dog show wins. I was so pleased that Blitz did so well - beating the number 1 ***** in the USA and going on to get a group 4 placement in a very, very tough line up of terriers in the group ring! My little boy is growing up.

Weight seems to be back to its normal setting of 262. Still need to get it lower, but baby steps... I'm pleased that I did not over do the fair food this dog show weekend. I seem to have lost the need to eat to celebrate wins and losses.

My knee HURTS. I have never had a really sore knee before. It is unpleasant to the nth degree! I woke up needing pain relief and took some ibuprofen. I am wondering if I have arthritis in my knee. OUCH! Going to order some KT tape. This is also an incentive to step up the clean eating to get some weight off the knee.

I need to get back to the kids. Perhaps a little more later.

Drove to Bakewell today. We're staying until Friday in a beautiful apartment. Chatsworth House is nearby and we'll be going to tour it (so excited. It's where they filmed both the 1995 BBC and 2005 Keira Knightly versions of Pride and Prejudice).

Finger still really hurts. Bought a splint at the pharmacy today. Huge difference now that it's immobilized thank goodness!

I think that's all, hope you're all well!

Such a dream trip. I'm glad the finger feels better.

When I broke my finger a couple of summers ago, that was the treatment: a splint for 3 weeks. Not to alarm you, but it turned out I broke some tiny bones in my hand/wrist that didn't show up on the initial x ray. Treatment for that was a splint that immobilized both hand and wrist, followed up with physical therapy for my hand. So pay attention if its not getting better in a few more weeks.

Most of you may have seen on FB that Diane O lost her mother. Apparently she was on hospice of late and Diane was at her side as she should be. All our love and condolences Diane

Florida is HOT! Today I got my car issues dealt with (new battery and oil change). And I began packing what I want to bring to Mike's place. Very different packing than in the past as I was trying to clear out drawers and most of the closet so the room could be used by others. I am packing away any personal toiletries I am not bringing right now. It feels weird. Like I really will never live in this place again. But I am so happy to be with Mike. Though life changes are difficult it is time to move on with him. If things change in the next 6 months (which I doubt) I will still have this place to go back to but will likely sell after that. I did sell my golf cart today for a good price through a friend.

SIL with lung cancer is sick probably from the treatment, a targeted therapy which they have had to stop. She is sorely underweight and has pneumonia so now she is on prednisone and antibiotics. Very similar to what happened when she was on the immunotherapy. I hope she recovers and is able to stay here most of this winter as we had hoped.

Tonight I am getting together with a few girlfriends here. Mike and Justice will hang out together and eat leftover pizza.

Stay safe and healthy!

Crazy day. My Dad had a TIA stroke today, and was missing for awhile. My brother figured out where he was, and got him to the hospital. He lost the ability to speak, and then was garbled as it came back. He was speaking clearly when I left. No bleeding in his brain, so that's a relief! They wanted to admit him for overnight, but there were no beds in this smallish hospital because of Covid!!! The closest bed they could find was 2 hours away. Because he was stable, they agreed it didn't make sense to move him, and they let him go home, but he had to go to the stroke center tomorrow for more testing. So, today I left work early, drove to my parents, and just got home now. 4 more days until the weekend!

Couldn't "Like" this post. I am glad your dad is okay enough to be released to go home.

So scary, DD! So glad your brother was able to find him and that he was stable enough to come home.

Wow DD. Very frightening. And it highlights how Covid is affecting how health crisis treatment is being threatened everywhere. I hope your Dad recovers okay.
