Our time on Nantucket ends this afternoon. It has rained a bit this morning with more to come but hopefully it won't be a problem getting the ferry out of here this afternoon. The prior two days were perfect weather. I want to take Mike to a waterfront restaurant for lunch that wasn't open the last two days, then we will return to our regular Cape Cod.

Tomorrow and Saturday my daughter is hosting a small bachelorette party which I am included in. To tell the truth, I would just as soon skip it but this girl is very sweet. Her female family members are not participating in any pre-wedding events so I am the stand-in for them. Sigh.

Sunday we fly to Florida for 6 days to do some preliminary set-up of our places and have the cars serviced. I hope it doesn't thunderstorm every day we are there but that is the norm this time of year.

Not much else going on. I think we will poke around in stores for a bit before going out to lunch. Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

Oh, so quiet here..... DD back in school, Ceci galavanting around England, Shirl in lock down, Diane O MIA....(hope she's okay).....

Yesterday I was done in by a long day. I allow myself to feel the upset of having the damn RV battery die on me. I checked the voltage and it was 5.8 volts (should be 12.-13. volts). So, I'll get a couple of starter batteries and replace them. If I run into trouble, I already have the mobile RV service scheduled to come next Wednesday to do it. Hoping I can manage it myself. Shouldn't be difficult, I just hate doing mechanical things that involve electricity. My BFF is ALWAYS present when I do electrical work of any kind. He's my safety net.

Weight was up again today. So in 2 days I went up 3.5 pounds with no real change in eating. C'est la vie, right? Weight is not static. It is fluid. I am fighting the feeling of defeat. All or nothing thinking is hard to kick!

More meetings today after school, but a dog show which I can look forward to this weekend. That'll be fun!

Weight literally is fluid as you say. It's hard to wrap our heads around when we see these big swings. Back in the days when I actually lost weight, I would have those upward bounces after a new low. The new low is there, its just hiding behind a lot of retained water. Those lower numbers are just so shy!

Liz, many blessings to you for stepping in to be the aunt/mom stand in. Your presence will make the event happier for the bride to be. Its a testament to the kind of Mom you are that your daughter and her friends want you there.

Today was much smoother than yesterday, starting with remembering to bring my computer to work. There are a lot of nice kids in my classes. Today I realized I hadn't had anything to eat around 11am. My lunch is at 12:20, so I did eat a couple of bites of cottage cheese. I forgot my salad, so I had to eat out of my fridge stash: yogurt, nuts and fruit. Surprisingly, my hunger remained minimal all day. I did my little workout last night, and will do it again tonight. And my daily sprints through the building will continue. Feeling good about today, so far.

It sounds like you are in a good routine for exercise and eating. Good for you!
