I can't wait to see pictures of Pep's Goat V2.0! I looked on FB to see if anything was there but not yet.

Worrying about Ocean Diane. She has been quiet for a few weeks now. And Shirl as well. I think she may still be in lockdown?

I ate okay yesterday but there was more wine than I probably should have had. That's what happens when one meets friends at a winery.

Today is likely a beach day again potentially with SIL. But she hasn't been feeling well of late and is extremely pale and thin. Her oncologist says all looks good, but she really doesn't look like it right now. She has lost 20 pounds she couldn't afford to lose in the last couple of months and she has been napping a lot lately which is totally out of character for her.

So many people to worry about these days.

Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

Liz, i agree, worried about our quiet ones. Going out to breakfast with DH. I'll check in later. Happy Saturday!

Will post some pics later today! I, too, am a bit worried and saddened by the missing voices of our friends. Hope all is going well for them. I know Shirl celebrated her grandson's 2nd b'day the other day and seemed happy about that.

Will spend some time working on GOAT v2.0 today. The driving experience is very different! It's really amazing the difference the rear diesel engine and heavy duty chassis construction affect the ride of the coach. The difference was completely noticeable within a few feet of moving in the parking lot. Out on the road it is a far smoother and quieter ride and much more secure feeling on turns.

Eating was utter crap yesterday due to the amount of travel and lack of time to prepare food. Fast food for lunch and semi-fast food for dinner. The choices though were not bad. At dinner I at the meat and veggies from my burger, but ditched the bread. I did have a few onion rings though. The scale was kind this morning.

I have been adding magnesium to my daily vitamin regimen. I don't know if I notice anything yet as far as metabolism, but I have noticed that between the new pre/probiotics I'm taking and the magnesium, my gut health seems much improved. I was having such irregularity in BMs (on the frequent, loose side) that I am very grateful for the improvement.

Gonna run out and do some work on the GOAT and will take some pics later and post to TT.

I'm curious about the added magnesium. I've been having a lot of leg cramps and was wondering if that would help. If it increases metabolism in any way, so much the better.

I take magnesium every day. It keeps me from getting leg/foot cramps at night (potassium did not). I read today it also helps with sleep.

OK, that one worked. Will try another. Not much news here. We watched our football team today and they did well. Kind of like the good old days even though they played a crappy team.

So I am making chicken liver patee to take to friends tomorrow for an early labor day. I bought two containers of the chicken livers only to just now discover that one is chicken hearts. EEEEWWWW. So that one is becoming dog food.

Finally got my hair cut which had not been done since before covid. I have a nice 8 inch long pony tail to donate to cancer patient wigs.

The skies are a little hazy here from fires but we are not really effected. But a church here in our town is a shelter for people from the willow creek area which is about 35 miles inland. Fairgrounds and other similar places are opening up as shelters for people's horses and such and the other shelters need kennels. I am going to see if the place here needs any.

DH birthday is Monday. He loves to tell how he was born on Labor day. Not sure of plans. We will see what he wants to do. He is pretty easy to please. Maybe I will get a couple of cupcakes from the fancy cupcake store instead of a whole cake.

Yep. I am thinking about the quiet ones among us. Speak up all.

Bathroom remodel guy came back with a sort of plan. But he forgot half the stuff I told him I wanted so he has to redo the plan - ie contract and how much we will pay. Just as well. I changed my mind about colors.

Peps hope I get to see Goat 2.0 sometime. Now shows in my plans though.

Later all.

Your hair grows 8 inches in 1.5 years? Wow - mine would take 4 years or so I think.

I had a nice morning/afternoon with my husband. The day started well because last night the 3 of us tidied the house together. It was awesome to wake up to a sparkling kitchen, vacuumed and swept floors, odds and ends returned to their proper places... and not have it hanging over me that I needed to clean the house this weekend. I also did enough school work on Friday that I don't think I will need to do any other work items this weekend.

We went to breakfast at a farm to table restaurant. The usual suspects, eggs, toast, bacon but also a huge piece of grilled zucchini and a good sized handful of greens with the most yummy dressing. I will be finishing my breakfast for dinner. We ran a few errands, and then stopped to visit my sister in law. After having a double mastectomy in April, reconstructive implants 2weeks ago, her gall bladder is inflamed and full of crud and stones. It's coming out Wednesday. She is pretty philosophical, but since October and her diagnosis with breast cancer, she has been through the wringer.

We are going to have a quiet evening at home, maybe a bonfire later. Its just what I need, I'm feeling peaceful and centered.
