I suppose it would!

He said we should go hiking when I get back on a trail we talked about when we hiked this morning. Hmm.

My friend's dumb comment was said lovingly as you can only get away with calling out your best friend

I agree, nobody goes out of their way that much to be kind. At the barest minimum, he enjoys your company, and wants to be your friend, but I think something more. At the risk of being bossy and meddling, if you like him, let him be your friend!!! See where it goes from there.

Not bossy and meddling at all! I appreciate the advice. I clearly don't have a lot of knowledge about how these things work... at the very least, it's good to have a new friend here.

At minimum this guy enjoys your company. Not a bad way to start a relationship;)

Greetings All

I wrote an absolutely brilliant post yesterday explaining all the secrets of the universe and the meaning of life, but of course OH ate that post.

Mostly it was about Tesla being sick and begging to get into the vet and she is now doing better. I was afraid she had eaten a foreign body but x ray showed nothing. Relieved that its a routine gut upset. But enough that we sure have had to do a lot of laundry and probably have the carpets cleaned.

Today I helped my friend can tomatoes. I showed up late and actually didn't do much but I had found a bunch of old pictures from the garden club which were fun except half of us are dead.

DD nice that you are getting to know your neighbors. When we moved here there seemed to be lots of old people. Now we are the old people on the block except for this one couple who are positively prehistoric.

Its a little smokey here from time to time but we are blessedly free from fires and excess heat.

Some times I wonder if all of our eating issues have to do with an excess quantity of the hunger hormone grehlin. After VSG I was not hungry for several YEARS. Made a huge difference. Now when I get hungry I sort of know that it does not take much food to get rid of it. I was always curious about my SIL, now deceased, whose whole life seemed to revolve around food, shopping and preparing. She was at least 400 pounds and told me how she used to just get so incredibly hungry and often felt like she did not get enough to eat. I know she was anemic and probably not well treated for it. Anyway, I really think some of us are sort of destined to be chunkier than others. Of course, this was my rationalization when I was nearly 250 lbs. Still, why does mother nature seem to fight tooth and nail at every pound lost.

Happy anniversary to you celebrators. Being married to a good person is such a blessing. I make fun of myDH for all the goofy stuff he does but he is a total gem.

And Cecily, that guy does like you. Keep us posted.

Ok OH, you eat this and you pay the consequences.
