Yesterday was a good news day! SIL's cancer has shrunk "significantly" and she is tolerating the targeted treatment well. If all continues the same she will only have to see the doctor at 3 month intervals after October 1, which means she could go to Florida this winter! Though I will be living with Mike, I am keeping my Florida place at least through the season so wanted SIL to be able to use it.

AND SIL's son is getting married a week from tomorrow at our local lighthouse, with the ceremony officiated by a friend of ours, followed by a dinner catered by my DS! The bride, her mother, and her sisters will be getting dressed at my house so the bride and groom won't see each other before the ceremony. So, so exciting! But what will I wear???

Eating was okay yesterday, not super bad but not super good. We have a retirement party today. I need to not munch too many bad snacks.

Hello from Dog Show Land! LOL! Another Kairk Airedale has added Champion to its name! Hoping for 2 more tomorrow!!!! Fingers and toes crossed!

Didn't eat again until after 2 pm. So not what I should be doing! Oh, well....

Liza finished her AKC championship today so her mama is going to take us out for a steak dinner. (Liza's mama is very much in want of a steak dinner and we will be her happy companions. I NEVER turn down steak!) I am very happy for Liza and her human mom, Susan. I never insisted that Liza earn an AKC championship when she went to live with Susan, but Susan really believed Liza was worth the effort and has done a pretty good job keeping her up. I showed Liza today because Susan was feeling a lot of pressure to win and it was really stressing her out. Never good to have that type of stress creeping down the lead to the dog.

We will head home tomorrow after showing. It will be nice to get home. I'm excited, too, that on Monday afternoon I have an appointment with the audiologist. I really need to get hearing aids for this upcoming school year. Well, I need them in general, but I REALLY need them for school. Did you all know that cognitive decline has been directly linked to hearing loss? NO THANK YOU!!!!!!

A nice day here. We got the Chris Craft back in the water! 2 months on, the lift has finally been fixed and we hope it limps through the end of the season. It's my favorite boat of the bunch.

I went to the grocery store and avoided a lot of empty carbs in the cart. This afternoon I needed a nap and grabbed a short one.

Green beans are ready in the garden. We had them tonight. Delish!
