Is our little group dying out? I sure hope not but it has been awfully quiet around here!

Today I am in Boston with SIL for a cancer checkup. She has been on a new treatment for a month now so this is the first checkup to assess if it is working. Fingers and toes crossed!

My friend's wife is staying at our home now. She gets a quiet day to make calls, etc. as she is not going to the hospital. His visitors are limited and his brother is there today. There has been some slight progress in his condition so again my fingers and toes are crossed.

Not good eating yesterday (pizza). Today has been good so far and at least there will be no snacking while hanging out in the hospital.

Have a safe and healthy Friday!

I hope our group isn't dying out too! I can't say I've been doing my part diligently though. Not much happens here.

I had pizza tonight, Liz! It was delish, but I had too much. Thankfully I walked 6 miles today and was otherwise sensible in my eating.

It was absolutely beautiful today, but super windy (over 20mph sustained). Sure enough a nest of robin babies decided today was the day to learn to fly. It was like watching the sad part of Wild Kingdom! There was flying into glass (followed by closing of my shades to try to prevent it), sideways flying in the wind followed by head over feet tumbles down the stepping stones, limping birds, disoriented birds. But the momma was there trying to help as much as she could. I don't see any casualties, so I hope they're okay. Very stressful to watch!

On my walk I saw a baby deer and got angrily flapped at by a startled turkey. Aaand a seagull got eaten by a fox in the yard. Oy, the wildlife around here!

I hope everyone is well and just happy and busy.

It sounds like such a beautiful place to take a walk. No need to even get into the car!

I am happy, but very busy at the dog shows! We are still kicking some major Airedale ass, so it's kind of fun. Both Lulu and Dinah could very well come home from this trip AKC champions. I showed Dinah as a champion today and she beat an older champion female (that I also bred). There is a lady up here who would rather I pack up my dogs and go home! Oh, well..... LOL!

My eating has not been on the up and up. Friends have literally showered us with snack foods and Ron has had to have some "dog show food" (which is far better really than the standard "fair" food usually available at dog shows). I have not been super hungry in the mornings and haven't been eating until the afternoons after I show, which is not usually a method that leads to thoughtful eating the rest of the day. Also, with all the crap food available, it's been easy to nibble on crap food all day long.

It is time to wash out Lulu and Dinah and get dinner going for dogs and humans.

It must be so rewarding to see your dogs and related ones do so well at the shows. They are truly beautiful Airedales.
