I haven't been very present lately (sorry, I've felt very boring!), so I'll start us off today. The weather was finally beautiful yesterday and should be again today. Low humidity, but warm.
My veggies have started to grow in. Tomatoes are ripening, lettuce and radishes nearing their end, green beans coming in. The rest is mostly weeds!
I've been reading a bunch, but have slacked off on walking and certainly on eating well. Argh. Every day is a new day, though right?
Hope everyone is well. Shirl, are you out there? DianeO?
We have tomatoes but they are still green around here. Squash, cucumbers and green peppers aren't showing much yet. I think the lack of water may be negatively affecting them. I am collecting tomato recipes to be ready!
I visited with my friend at the hospital yesterday. He talks as if he has had a few glasses of wine and says his brain feels sort of disorganized. I guess it is the result of his cardiac arrest. But his kidneys seem to be doing fairly well now (they had shut down) and he is supposed to have a cardiac catheterization today so they can better determine next steps. It was good to see him looking stronger than I expected yesterday. We had dinner with the wife last night and the night before and she is doing okay though exhausted and she wants to go home.
Today Mike and I are at his beach and out to dinner tonight in this area. He actually passed on golf today.
Have a safe and healthy day!

Good Morning All
Back at work after running some parts to the install teams. Awaiting a press conference to let us know if we are coming out of lockdown....... Sydney is in a world of pain with their Delta infections out of control - many cases still out in the community before diagnosed. There was 2 seperate state protests on the weekend - One in Melbourne and the other Sydney. I just cant understand why........ I get that people have a right of speech but by organising and participating in a mass protest - only undoes what we have all worked so hard to achieve and puts so many vunerable people at further risk. Im just weary of it all. Have my first vacination 11th August and Second will be 1st September. Have booked my bosses second shot and DH is having his in September too.
The holiday is all cancelled and I dont know if it will be able to happen this year. Ive been feeling pretty down about it all - thats reflected in some solid comfort eating - which I know I must stop but really dont have the energy right now
Thats really all I have - just work, home - stay home then back to work.
Love to you all
S
I'm glad you are getting vaccinated soon, but this has sure been a long siege. I feel like some people are being terribly selfish in not following rules or not getting vaccinated. It doesn't just put themselves at risk, but threatens other people's safety and the potential for getting back to normal.

Another road bump to navigate, but I have an extra session with my therapist today. Will post in TT later.
