Almost halfway through the month! It is gray again today but theoretically the next 2-3 days will be better before it rains on Sunday.

Yesterday it apparently stayed drizzly all day on Cape Cod but in Newport RI it was warm and dry with some peaks of sun periodically. We had a good day there! I used to go a lot as eldest DD's grandparents grew up there. So much natural beauty, VERY expensive mansions (built as summer homes for the wealthy in the past), and wonderful restaurants and boutiques on the wharves. Mike had never been there and was blown away by our drive along Ocean Drive (expansive water views) and Bellevue Ave (mansions with beautiful grounds). He wasn't as thrilled with the wharf area though he enjoyed lunch there. We may go back some other day this summer with a picnic lunch and Justice to do outside things along the ocean and walk along the "Cliff Walk".

Tonight we are meeting Mike's sisters for dinner (as we have been every 2-4 weeks when we are in Massachusetts). First we have to go get a fire pit kit to put together for DD's graduation party on Saturday, possibly put it together, and Justice needs a long walk. He was a crazy man last night due to too much indoors time.

Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

Good morning ! Friends leave Friday morning and it's been a busy, fun week. Ive been doing my yard care in 1.5 ish hour increments and it is working out well. My neighbors might think I'm obnoxious for only waiting until 8:30 am to get started, but by 10:30 is just too hot and humid for manual labor outdoors. Weight is fairly consistently 139-144. I was ok 144-149 but my body feels more energetic here. I continue to enjoy my Sunday DDs Zooms.

Age: 64; 5' 5"; High weight: 345; Start weight: 271 (01/05/15); Surgery weight: 218 (05/27/15); Pre-Op (-53); M 1 (-18); M 2 (-1.5); M 3 (-13.5 ); M 4 (-13); M 5 (- 8); M 6 (-12) M 7 (-5, Xmas); M 8 (- 9) Under surgeon's goal and REACHED HEALTHY BMI 12/07/15!! I would never begrudge someone starting yard work at 8:30am, and I'm a late sleeper. I was not a fan of my former neighbor's 7am mowing, but 8:30am seems quite reasonable.

Liz, I too am noticing how fast the summer is going. I am looking forward to the day I can follow the sun like you! For now, I just have to grab it when it's here.

Yesterday, BFF and I went to the beach. I didn't swim, it was kind of windy, and I thought I might be cold when I got out. Heaven forbid I am cold!!! I did finish another book, When We Believed in Mermaids. Had to fini**** in one day to find out what happened. Good read, I recommend it.

We then met up with our college roomies for dinner. First time the 4 of us have been together since Covid.

Today, much needed rain, and much needed time for me to put order to the house after all the running around.

DH and I are trying to low carb for the next 3 weeks before our next vacation. Easier to stick to when there's an end date. The struggle goes on.
