Greetings from Lodi, CA where it is hot as Hades! I have not sweat this much in I don't know how long. I certainly have stayed hydrated! All I can do is DRINK! This heat has me thirsty, thirsty. I am having a slow enough morning to enjoy a breakfast burrito. That's a good thing, probably, as I haven't had breakfast since Wednesday! LOL! Thursday I don't think I ate anything until after 4 pm. Not such a good thing.....
Yesterday was Dinah's day. She got a major win and showed like a million bucks! Made me very happy. Two more days of showing and then home for a couple of weeks before heading to Oregon for shows.
Sounds like everyone is doing well and/or busy!
Congratulations Peps ! What a fabulous run you are having !!! The FB photos in the Goat doorway are spectacular. Sorry I have been scarce. I have friends visiting and am trying to get some yardwork done when it is not raining. More tomorrow !

Greetings All
We are enjoying cool coastal weather here. I feel for those of you stuck in the heat. Kudos to you Peps for not only enduring but for having big wins in a tough show environment. Over hydrating is impossible.
Did a bit of studio time today, had a puppy visitor and went for groceries. I am all about convenience these days. We had hot dogs when my niece and son were here and they were quite good. Making a point to buy the quality kind.
We watched a 4 part series on hulu last night called Sasquatch. It was an investigation into an old triple murder allegedly committed by bigfoot. Interesting glimpse into our area and the dope grow industry.
Curses, the giant lime green school bus was moved last night but today its back! Looks like a giant booger. They are working like bees on it and we have learned it is supposed to be moved inland. Not too soon for me. Blocks the view backing out of driveway.
Vet arts for Poppy and old dog Chip tomorrow. Then gallery duty. Might have to change Poppy's name to "goat" because she is such a climber. Look out!!

Congratulations Peps! The awards are piling up. DS is flying to Sacramento for work on Tuesday, what crazy heat awaits him on the west coast?
Diane, glad to hear you are getting in some social time with visiting friends, always fun to catch up.
We enjoyed the family party so much yesterday, but there was drama with my mother. My uncle's house is on a steep slope overlooking a lake, so when you enter from the driveway/front door, you descend a full flight of stairs to get to the living area. Somehow my mother got down those stairs before I got there, but when I find her in the living room she tells me they didn't bring her wheelchair, or the plug in for her portable oxygen generator. She shows me she has 4 hours of oxygen left. OMG. Finally I learn she does have the one you can plug into the car lighter, so at least she can recharge on the drive home. When it's time to leave, her generator is beeping, and she is planning to walk up the flight of stairs. She cannot walk up 4stairs to get in her camper trailer, so there is no way she can do this. She is essentially trapped. If we had the wheelchair two strong guys could push/pull up the side of the house outside, or carry her up the stairs in the chair. So finally my DH and some cousins carried my Mom, sitting in a lawn chair, up a full flight of stairs, while her oxygen generator was beeping that it was running out of charge. We help her get in the truck (why did they come in a pick up truck, she can't lift her legs up high enough to pivot and get in?), and I got her generator plugged in again. OMG. I don't even know what to do anymore.
Today is beautiful again, we are having an amazing stretch of weather. Tomorrow is predicted to be the same. I think I'll finish the evening reading on the porch until the sun sets.
Glad you got your Mom out in decent shape, but wow that was close!
