It's a beautiful day here, and I can chose to do whatever I want, I have no firm schedule. I have a few of life's details to attend to, but no clock to watch. I am at my leisure :) .
We had a soaking rain, and a very cool day yesterday. Today is sunny and bright. Forecast is high 70s. Some tasks I might tackle: weeding, mulching, "making kindling", reading ...

Chilly, gray day in northern MI today. Sun is returning tomorrow.
This morning the contractor came by with the window rep to get quotes for my new windows in the living room and to see about replacing a few windows in my dad's house (the weather here is brutal on houses!). Such a nice guy. I wish he could hire more people - we could almost keep him busy full time what with repairs and updates.
I'm waiting for my dad to go for a walk and staring at a partially gutted, 14" dead bass fish in the middle of the grass behind my house. The bald eagles sometimes drop them in the yard after fishing them out of the lake... I'd rather be looking at the eagle than his forgotten dinner remnants!
Later is a trip to the grocery store, but nothing else planned.
Hope you all have a happy day!
I forgot about checking here until now! Early this morning we were working on trying to finalize our first 3 months of 2022 by finding a home to rent in March and trying to determine today's schedule. Elsa complicated the schedule for today. DD from Jacksonville is flying in but was delayed by 3 hours because of the storm. We thought we might go see Mike's daughter/grandchildren before they left tomorrow but they left a day early because of the storm. More local DD is driving down here this afternoon.
Anyway all who are headed this way converge between 5-6 so 7 of us are going out to dinner.
Lobster rolls made by DS last night were probably the best I have we ever had. I guess it is time to stop craving lobster after three nights of it this week.
Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

Greetings all
Not much news. Just got back from the pool. Such a treat to be in the cool water. Went to the studio and grocery before that.
DH has arranged all the puppy ex pens around the house to keep Poppy out of stuff and is off to the hardware store for 5 foot wire to put behind the sofa. Our home looks like Guantanamo. Seems kind of ridiculous to me but oh well.
Liz you are making me want lobster. Cecily you are NOT making me want to eat bass.
A friend of mine grew up in a lobster fishing village in Maine. She says there was a law against feeding the town prisoners lobster more than 4 times per week. Really??
I am getting fun reports on all the puppies. Glad for that.
It would be a good time for me to get serious about proper eating. Farmers markets abound and there is fresh fish available. I will think about it tomorrow.
Not much else. Diane S
