Almost the 4th of July. The weather stinks here. Gloomy but not as much rain as we really need. If it needs to be cool and rainy at least it should be a good soaking rain!

We did almost nothing yesterday. A very lazy day for the most part. Mike tried to play golf, driving 45 minutes to meet his friends but it was too rainy to play. His next attempt is Monday when the weather should be nicer.

But yesterday was productive for planning. Mike finished booking Arizona for February. So we now have 3 weeks in Hawaii in January and are renting a condo in Scottsdale for the month of February, with short trips to Sedona, Las Vegas, and the Grand Canyon. Now we need to figure out March which will either be a rental in the Florida Keys or in Hilton Head.

Tonight is "date night", as denoted by Mike. I think he wants to have Saturdays generally designated as such. We have a reservation at one of the nicer restaurants here, but will likely have a drink downtown beforehand.

That's it on this end. Eating is still somewhat off the deep end. Not super bad, but not anything that will help me lose the extra weight. I really need to get some incentive.

Sorry to be awol. My niece and her son are here for a few days to collect puppy. we did a redwood tour yesterday and visited beaches. Great time but boy was I beat. I took a fall two nights ago and landed hard on my butt and bumped my head. No need for medical but I have a sore behind. DH has some magic medical device that emits light waves that is supposed to heal me. I actually think it might be helping. I was prepared to laugh but we shall see.

Today is a boat ride on the bay at 4 and a visit to the new sky walk through the redwoods at the little zoo. I don't think I will walk it but the kid can do it. It has a swaying bridge.

We are eating macaroni and hot dogs. Not proud of that. Oh well.

Had to dose Tesla with CBD the past two nights. More fireworks.

Not much time to report. More later. Pups are good.

I'm just gonna call you Vacation Lady from now on! Will you be able to take Justice to Hawaii?

No, the overhead to take a dog to Hawaii is too onerous. Justice wil be with us in Arizona and in the Florida Keys (where we decided today to go for March). This travel is thanks to a lucrative 3 month rental of Mikes place in Florida from January-March. But it is likely the last time he will rent it out.

Good Morning All, Sunday here already! Why do the weekends fly so fast...

Productive potter day yesterday- got lots of sorting & planning done for my mums 80th birthday in August. Ive organised 4 celebrations for her. Dinner with DH extended family at farm, afternoon tea down at our place (I will cater) we will cook her favourite dinner on her actual birthday- my sons will come too & family dinner out on 14/8 with all our kids & grandkids. She should enjoy it lots. She wanted new cushions for her couch so I ordered them from the kids- wrapped yesterday & will post a picture in TT. Have also organised cupcake bouquets for her afternoon tea & family dinner. We took her to dinner at a Korean BBQ place last night - she really enjoyed it. Need to try n do it more as she only goes out with us.

Today DH is heading to the farm with dogs n chooks. I have a loaf of bread on & more washing. We will get some more planting done- just beetroot to go in. Automatic watering system is 99% complete so thats good. Think thats all I have.
