I think I have the date right!
I spent a good part of yesterday at my pond beach as it was too windy and cool on the ocean beach. So weird that it has been 90 or above on the "mainland" of Massachusetts yet too cool to sit on the beach on my part of the Cape. Today I am at Mike's and the high at the beach is supposed to be 90. The difference is because the winds from the SW come over the water to get to the beaches in my area, but over land to get to the beach here. We will see how long I last at the beach today...
Eating was not so good yesterday. I couldn't fall asleep and snacked at 12:30. Arghhh.
Have a safe and healthy Tuesday!

DH finally has two days off in a row at home. Usually when he has 2 days off in a row during the summer, were out of here. I hear him working on a honey do list item right now. If it doesn't rain, we'll probably go kayaking this afternoon. He and DD have a date this evening to go see A Quiet Place 2. I'm happy, that was one of their hobbies pre covid, and I'm happy to miss any horror type movie. No thanks.
Last night I engaged in a war with Asian beetles. They were buzzing around my plants and eating all the leaves. I read the best treatment is to pick them off and drop them in a bucket of soapy water. I'll have to do a welfare check on my zinnias and grape vine to see if it made any difference.
We are escaping the heat today that is gripping the rest of the country. I have all the windows open to air out the house, it's lovely. Heat cranks up for us again this week.
Off to fight the beetles!
Lovey was spayed and had her teeth cleaned yesterday. She lost a few teeth in the process, but we knew that was going to happen. She is recovering well.
Despite my much more careful eating I am up 2 more pounds today. I know it's water weight, but geez, can't a guy catch a break?
My mood was somewhat off yesterday. Sort of blue-down-in a funk type of mood. I think it was just a symptom of so much going on - all of which is beyond my control. I am doing my best to let it go, but as I think you all know that can be tough. Anyhow, I was able to talk with the shrink during my twice monthly session yesterday.
I have a client this morning and training tonight. Not much else going on here.
Oh, construction stopped here at 2 pm yesterday. UGH.... Let's hope it's a full day today. I really want the work to be done SOON!
Me too, I have tracked points, (except for last Friday and the two mixed drinks) for 9 days in a row, and my reward was to see a pound up each Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I decided not to weigh today. I know I'm eating as I should, so I too think it is water retention from all the lifting, squatting, pulling etc I've been doing in the yard.
Greetings all
Life in a kennel. Thats what this is. I have my houseguest who is here to get a puppy to take to Mexico. I have her taking the one I wanted her to so I can keep the one I want. We took two to the vet yesterday for health certificates for the airplane rides and microchips. Upon arriving home, the chip number on each certificate does not match the chip card, tag. Looks reversed. I called and they checked. I think the technician just mixed up the two little packets and the health certificates are right. No one on the airplanes will check the chips. May hav to spot by and have them read puppy chip to make sure. What a headache vet care has become. We can barely get through on the phone and I know their people are working extra hard.
My house guest brought me a cookie. Guess I will eat it for breakfast. We did all kinds of shopping for dogs and other stuff the other day and it wore me out!! I am such a wimp. She is a good person but a bit ditsy and talks non stop. She is off visiting others today so its all good. She got some homemade mushroom stew from the local deli and its fabulous. All our meals have come from that deli and I think I may continue that practice.
DD hope you get all those beetles. We do the same - bucket of soapy water - with snails and slugs.
Peps I bet your mood improves when your projects are finished. It will be worth it.
Thats about it. Stay safe all. Diane S
So, so sweet!
