Good morning from the "Outer Cape" at Mike's place. My home is in the "Upper Cape", which means I am close to the bridges over the Cape Cod Canal, where Mike's place is in the area closest to Provincetown, the furthest point on Cape Cod. Justice and I are just hanging out right now while Mike weeds, mows and power washes. We will take a walk down to the beach later. Mike and I will have lunch at a local place on the beach.

We had a good visit with SIL and her cousin last night. I have known the cousin for over 40 years since we were all in our 20's. She has become such a lovely, capable woman over that time. Her son is severely disabled and has had to live in a group home since he was in his late teens but she has taken such great care of him. And now she has stepped in to provide support to her adult niece and nephews who lost their mother (her sister) suddenly last year to either overdose or suicide (she suffered from depression). Really such a strong, caring woman.

My eating was mixed yesterday: I stayed on plan except during ****tail hour and dinner. I didn't eat a ton, but probably enough to make the day a wash. But at least I am heading in the right direction in starting to follow planned eating.

Not much else going on here. Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

Liz, there's not a part of the Cape I don't enjoy ! How fortunate you get a flavor of so many places ! I picked up my new driving/TV glasses today. It is so much easier to drive when I can see signs clearly so far away ! Hated to admit that the lenses I had implanted when I had cataract surgery were no longer doing it for me.

Even though this is a rental, there is a patio block project I am itching to dig into. Nothing grand like Peps, but as soon as the lawn dries up from all of this rain and Sadie & I won't be playing in the mud...

So I bought even more flowers yesterday evening, after I planted the ones I bought during the day. I couldn't resist. They are practically giving them away!

The day is sunny, temp is rising with a predicted high of 90. My husband and daughter have taken the afternoon off so they can have a consultation with a tattoo artist. Husband has a tattoo drawing done by a friend of one of the jets his father flew in the air force. I think it will be a lovely tribute to his Dad, but, overall, tattoos are not my thing. My Mom has a pretty wildflower on her foot, and daughter has one on her arch. I'm not sure what she's planning for a second tattoo.

Tribe, where do you stand on tattoos? Anybody have one, or thinking about it? I can't imagine that I would get one, except if I had to have a mastectomy. When I was diagnosed, I thought if I had one, I might skip reconstruction, and just have a really pretty floral tattoo on the surgical site.

After the tattoo consult, we are going to hang out at the beach.

Last night DH and I finally made it back to the Cinema. We saw Cruella. Pretty campy, enjoyed the fashion and cinematography. Pretty slim plot. And I do love Emma Stone.

Have a great Wednesday!

Tattoos aren't my thing. There is no image or phrase I can think of that I want to wear on my person for the rest of my days. But to each their own!

I have a tattoo of my beloved dog Jackson on my calf. IT took me many months to have it done because I was unsure of doing it and also I needed to find the right artist. NO REGRETS at all. I love it.

In general, I think a well placed tattoo can be very attractive and even quite sexy. However, people who overdo tattoos are unattractive to me. I really dislike neck tattoos and face tattoos. My niece is overly tattooed for my taste. She has a full sleeve running down to her hand. Blech....

I also think some tattoos can be meaningful or attractive, but not a fan of neck tattoos. Like Cecily, I'm a to each their own viewpoint.

My deceased DD loved Tigger and all the Pooh characters and had them tattooed around her ankle. This is on my left shoulder (that is her signature traced from a card):

I am thinking of having a small sailboat on my right ankle in DH's memory (he loved to sail).

That's beautiful, and a lovely tribute. A memorial tattoo for DH also sounds lovely and heartfelt.

Greetings All

OH ate my "more" post from yesterday. Rats. But nothing earth shaking. Just a day at the pool and chasing the puppies outside on the loose in the back yard. First time for that and little Beyonce got lost for a minute. She was exploring under the deck.

Steak for dinner last night. Always a good option. We are watching a new series on Apple TV - Home Before Dark. Good show.

Tatoos - none for me though I have considered the cosmetic kind. I know people with the permanent eyeliner. But most parts of me are so saggy and wrinkled I can't see drawing attention to them. But to each his/her own. Tatoos today are indeed brighter and much more creative than in days of old.

My brother's birthday was yesterday. He is doing pretty well considering this rare disease he has battled for the last two years. He will never be cured but is doing much better. Cheers. I now understand why old people talk about diseases all the time. Its omni present in our lives.

Stay safe and well all. Don't eat this OH.

I am beginning to feel like a descendent of Sarah Winchester! Completion of the back and side yards is being held up by a lack of material availability. So, today they started in earnest to demolish the front yard. OMG! IT'S A FLIPPING MESS AROUND HERE! There is a bulldozer in the front yard they used to tear out the huge overgrown Mock Orange and shrub stumps against the house, damaging down spouts in the process.... Maybe I can post some pics to TT....

Workout was great yesterday. Food was pretty good until OREOS happened. I should have said NO when Auntie Kathryn pawned them off on us, but I was weak.... I ended up eating a total of 8! Sigh... I suppose it could have been much worse, come to think of it.

Kathryn has too much time on her hands and follows people on facebook who do food challenges. The OREOS were from an OREO taste test challenge she decided she wanted to do. Her next challenge is to do a fast food chicken sandwich challenge. I keep putting it off saying we need to schedule it, knowing full well she is not one to schedule such a thing. She is a total spur of the moment, I WANT IT NOW type. (Yes, she struggles with her eating behaviors, too.) I am hoping that within a few weeks her food challenge obsession will subside.

I am becoming aware that I am a perfect example of a phrase I use about some dog show judges. The phrase is this: "He/She does not let her vast knowledge of dog movement/structure/type/etc... interfere with her judging." A little snarky, yes, but it seems to happen pretty regularly, especially at some big shows like Westminster. I think the phrase that applies to me would be more along this line: "He never lets his knowledge of nutrition, metabolism, body chemistry, and exercise interfere with his eating behaviors." What psychological switch must I throw to get going? If nothing else, the journey is one of fascinating self discovery.

I have a feeling a nap is going to happen today. LOL!
