It's almost noon and I am first!

We got home fairly smoothly yesterday both on the Aruba and Boston ends. We had enough time to stop at a cute local bistro with DS on the way home. I had been wanting to bring Mike to this little place on the water so it worked out well.

This afternoon we are meeting friends at the local winery. It is a gorgeous day and there will be music. Eating is better the last couple of days but obviously wine is still in the picture.

Though Mike is the father of 3 he typically doesn't see any of them on Father's Day so it seems odd to me to not be having a cookout with DH and whatever kids are around. I hope any others here who are the Fathers of children or fur babies have a good day!

Have a safe and healthy Sunday.

OH ate my post earlier.

Weight, worst since I got here!

...and then I ate bacon and pancakes for Father's Day breakfast. Ugh. My dad and his wife, just don't eat until dinner after Sunday breakfast. I can't do that without some serious feelings of deprivation and hangriness. So I had a sandwich at 1. I so need to reign myself in!

Today was chores. I harvested some strawberries from the garden, cleaned, changed the sheets, cleaned the bathroom, took out the trash, cleaned a drawer, a little weeding... Making chicken enchilada casserole for dinner. Rain is coming late this afternoon through mid day tomorrow. Yay! It's dry here.

The neighbor's relative's dog is barking nonstop. I love dogs, but jeez, be a responsible dog owner and shut it up!

I think that's all that's happening in my world... hope your days are going well!

I made one a while back that was outstanding and I thought I was making that one, but it wasn't the same! I thought it was the right one!! When/if I find the right one, I will post it. Bummer to put that much work in and it tastes blah...

Maybe you should try to not keep track for a bit to see if it helps?

Celebrating my husband today. It's damp and coolish here. Hoping it really rains, because it is dry here too, like in Michigan.

We just got back from a late lunch out at one of our favorite local restaurants. Rather than get a whole cake from our favorite bakery, DH opted for cupcakes. Once they're done, we are not tempted by all the leftover cake. So trying to be somewhat proactive. This evening, we are going to play online games with our son so he can hang with his Dad, even though he's a state away.

Cecily, I can never resist bacon. What's the point of living if it doesn't involve bacon once in awhile. Pancakes I can pass on, eggs too, but never bacon. :)
