Greetings All

I am cooking a steak for the dogs. It got a bit old and I wasn't sure we should eat it but the dogs will love it. They are so spoiled.

Puppy Lizzo leaves sunday. It will be hard but I think she is going to be spoiled rotten.

Went to the cardiologist today. He is adjusting meds but keeps suggesting I have this ablation procedure done. I am not eager. Seems like I only get a tachycardia episode every couple of weeks. Not a big deal to me. We shall see. I have to go out of area if I do this. Not a pleasant thought. But I have lost a couple of pounds over the past month. yay me.

I am envious of people who can go lay on a beach all day. I cannot. I burn to a crisp really fast. Always wear a t shirt in the ocean. That must be why I like it up here where beaches are too cold for swimming.

Yeah Peps, DH and I simply cannot work on any project together EVER. He has this maddening way of making everything very complex and drawn out. Plus he has no aesthetic to speak of.

Kareke party sounds fun Liz. Glad you guys are living it up.

Two pups get microchipped tomorrow. Guess I had better get the paperwork together.

The sweet peas I planted look like hell. Snails eat them. I can't be bothered to deal with it right now.

Our neighbor must be on the olympic power washing team. All he does is run his power washer on the driveway. vehicles, boots and on and on. Get a life man.

Good to know puppies are going to a good home, but must be hard to say goodbye. Must be hard to foster dogs too.

So Liz, did you sneak in a little beach nap? I love to sing, and I am told I have a good voice, but my karaoke success fluctuates. It's harder than it looks.

Today was our last day with students. One of my student's moms stopped by with a bouquet, candy and a gift card. Occasionally I get gift cards, but it's not as common as I think, for elementary teachers. I was stunned. And she cried when she gave them to me, so I choked up too. She and her family have been through so much this year, and I was happy to smooth things out for her daughter wherever I could. I didn't expect this!

The heat here just doesn't stop. It even defeated me a bit. It was 100 degrees!!! I am going to wait until after 8pm to water my flowers. I still think heat is a better extreme. There is never a time of day that is remotely comfortable on a subzero day. But even on a 100 degree day, I can enjoy the evening once the sun is getting lower in the sky.

Tomorrow, staff breakfast, and staff meeting, a little cleaning up in my room, than I will be free to go. I have a few errands to run, finish packing and then zoom: BIL will pick us up Saturday morning at 6am (!) and off to Miami.

Happy last day with the kids. Always a relief and bittersweet, I think. It is for me, anyhow. Hope your meeting goes quickly and without much fuss and you are on your way out the door well before noon.

No surprise that your stude to and their parents love you. You and Devon both put so much not your work. Yeah for a respite in Miami! Enjoy!
