I think it is actually cooler here in Aruba this week than in many parts of the US (85 during the day, 80 at night). Really strange!
Last night we went out to a place on a pier with fantastic live music. The hardest part was not being able to dance. The poor security guy had to intercede a couple of times when people tried to. Dancing is not allowed in Aruba because of Covid, but they did just drop the need to wear masks everywhere and the inability to sit at a bar. The establishment has the right to ask for masks though.
Tonight we are going to my favorite restaurant. Like all the places I enjoy here it is out in the open air. This one doesn't have a view (is located in a neighborhood) but it has lights strung everywhere and live music. I suspect there will be leftovers from this meal.
Time to get into a bathing suit and take a walk. Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

Weight: forgot again!
The sun and fog are duking it out this morning. So far the sun is winning. My neighbor across the channel plays the bagpipes and is outside practicing. Sound carries well over water! Right now he's playing Scotland the Brave. https://youtu.be/qQgPReMF1f0
I need to make sure I have enough smoking pellets to make pulled pork and smoked beans this week. My dad's wife has 7 friends coming from CA to golf this week. I'm cooking one night.
The brownies were baked last night. I need to cut them and my house still smells like the 3 giant bittersweet Ghirardelli chocolate bars that are in it. Yummy.
Friends are coming for dinner and I think we're going to eat on the boat and tool around. I ordered smoked beef tenderloin from a ranch in Texas. We'll have that on slider rolls with horseradish and a corn, avocado and tomato salad. It's a food extravaganza day that started with cinnamon rolls...
Hope you all have a great day!
I am drooling over your menu!

Greetings Friends
Not much new from Puppyville. I did finally get to the swimming pool yesterday and it was great. A lane to myself. They have put up timers for the swim team from the high school which is nice because I can see them without glasses. Allows me to time 30 minutes of activity. And I have concluded that we need to remodel our master bathroom to put grab bars and make the shower a walk in. So like that at the health club.
Liz Aruba sounds great. We all live vicariously though your sunsets and dinner by the water. More reports please.
Its sunny today and I think the puppies will get to go outside. The first one leaves Sunday and I need to train her a little on a leash as its a 5 hour drive away. They are at a cute stage now but they BITE BITE BITE and get into everything. We are taking the heat lamps out of their pen today as we think they can stay warm enough plus they can jump up and we fear they will chew the lamps. They may be out of their pen any day now so plan b is needed. Guess they will live in what passes for a dining room in our house.
Cecily so love your meal plans . Easy and yummy. And better on a boat. So glad you have a great step mom.
Not much good on the eating front here. We got an enchilada casserole from costco. Actually quite a lot of chicken in it from the roasted ones they don't sell. Pretty good and filling. I m not eating lots - just not enough protein.
My neighbor and her teenage daughter came over to see the pups the other day at my invite. They wore masks because they are not vaccinated!!! I was stunned that anyone who has a vaccine available would not do it.
Cardiologist tomorrow. Not sure what he is doing except monitoring me after a med increase. I feel fine.
Cheers all. Diane S
Hey, all ! I finally have to accept the fact that the artificial lenses implanted in my eyes when I had my cataracts done are no longer doing the job ! I wear readers for close work and am starting to notice difficulty with distance. Ah...ain't aging fun !? I have an appointment to have my eyes checked tomorrow. I'm seriously considering glasses over contacts. I always forget to take them out when I sleep and swim.

Super quick pop in as have all the boys in the factory today - is alive with laughter and joking around - so nice to hear. Rainy and wet after huge storms last night. Took me 5 different attempts to leave our estate with fallen trees. Thankfully no damage to our property but we have no power as many dont - Again thankful for a generator.
DH had his shot yesterday and had a bit of a rough night with chills etc - seems to be a bit better today
I have another busy one with getting these boys organised. Have to step 2 through process to get "working with children" checks done. And a bunch of OH & S stuff to sign off on. My days are never boring. One of the boys returned yesterday after his wife had their second child - a boy - I made blue cupcakes with buttercream icing and sprinkles. They all enjoyed them
I had best run but will try and pop back later
Have a wonderful evening all x
