We are at the gate waiting for our flight to Aruba. My bank issue was taken care of yesterday and my new account is all set up. The ATM card didn't work but I made sure I used it before the bank closed so they rectified it. With my trip today I wanted to make sure everything was functioning.
So as we leave for one trip, Mike is in the process of booking our January adventure to Hawaii. He has reserved a house on Oahu for 3 weeks and is working on the flights. Unfortunately it doesn't make sense to bring Justice so I will have to figure out where he will stay (probably with my son). We plan to rent in Arizona in February so will fly home to pick up Justice. The complexities of having pets!
Enjoy your day (hot or cold). Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

Weight 184.6. Definitely paying for my overeating the last two days.
It was so nice to be able to turn on the a/c this morning! That was money well spent.
Veggie watering, window washing, and bathroom cleaning are on the schedule for today. Maybe I'll put together another rug. Here's the first one...
I hope everyone has a good day!
Absolutely love it.... colors and pattern !

Liz, I love hearing about all your adventures coming up. Enjoy! Refresh my memory, are you both renting out your Florida houses next winter?
Hot as heck here, and I am happy. Hanging baskets will probably need to be watered twice today. This evening we are going to good friends house for snacks, ****tails, and a bonfire. Hmm. I'm actually fine with the fire in the evening, but will do what the others want.
My Dad and my brother did make it to Florida to pack up my parents house. I can't believe I am off the hook for this. I really did like their little house and their community, so we are all sad. But my Mom can't reliably make the trip, Covid aside, they hadn't been there for 2 years, but were still paying real estate tax, HOA etc. Their closest friends have moved or died. It's time. My Mom was 62 when they bought it, basically my age now. It doesn't seem very long ago. Another reminder that the years fly by. If not now, when?
Greetings all
I was absent due to two days in a row of gallery duty. I act like it was some kind of big work but its five hours of sitting at a desk and playing with my phone and iPad and occasionally making a sale. Due to covid I stay behind the counter instead of walking among the visitors but it may be safe to change that thanks to Dr. Faucci. But there are always interesting visitors. One gallery is in Trinidad CA, a very small village. I had some visitors from the real Trinidad-Tobego! I told them I felt I should get their autograph. Very nice people. We often get foreign tourists.
Pups are asleep for the moment but soon they will be awake and fussing. They are about 3.5 lbs each now (5 ounces at birth) and are a handful. Lizzo goes to her new home the 13, Walter the 18 and the other two late June. I finally got appointments for health certificates and microchips - I think due to the nice vet tech who likes me.
Yeah Liz, we essentially go nowhere anymore due to dogs. But we live in a vacation spot so I guess its good. Have fun in Aruba. Someone told me to go to some places like Equidor your covid test results have to go directly to their health department.
And Liz I have a misplaced credit card which is probably somewhere in this house along with my missing glasses. So I set up an alert (ok DH did it) so I get a message every time one cent is spent. Works well.
Cool rug squares Cecily. Great idea for pets indeed. I wish I had Star Treck powers to beam away my entire floor and put a new one in. Far too much junk. Enjoy the AC. You may not need it often but when you need it, its important.
I hope to take the pups out in the back yard today. Its super windy but maybe we will get sun.
I made dinner last night for the truly lazy: Some red and butter lettuce from a bag, sliced store bought tomatoes, a couple of strips of precooked bacon and a blob of mayonnaise. BLT with zero effort. DH thought it was a great meal!!! Repeat tonight.
Peps I have thought of your intent to stop trying to lose weight. I am sort of at the same point right now. It occurred to me that just as we cannot determine our ultimate height we may not be able to determine our ultimate weight. Height is in our genes. Weight might be also. Not to be discouraging. Just thinking on a keyboard.
Well time for more coffee. Then its gallery banking and maybe a trip to the store to stock the church food pantry. Cheers all

I am sort of on the same wavelength about biology. My body sure does want to be fat!!! The thinnest I ever was was a 130 or so, and I was on the verge of an eating disorder to stay there. And I was in my 20s and getting serious amounts of exercise. I would survive a famine better than lots, so that's something.
This morning was tough, but I held it together to send Atlas off. We cuddled all night... he knew. He was happy to hop in Chuck's truck with my SIL.
I went to Home Depot and bought a Ryobi battery push mower, weed wacker, and blower. All three cost less than two months of a lawn service. I came home and put them together and used all of them. The activity is healing. I just ordered extra batteries, so one is always charging, as both batteries drained before the job was done.
Glass of wine tonight FOR SURE ! Eating for fuel and strep recovery...not hungry.
