A big warm up for northern MI this week! 80s. I still have those remaining plants to get in the ground. I'm getting my hair colored this morning (yay).
The contractor came by yesterday to discuss my living room wall and kitchen plans. He does a lot of work for us and also watches the house over the winter so I didn't have to find someone I don't know. Very exciting. The living room will entail removing the cabinets, the faux rock fireplace surround, the tile raised hearth, lowering and replacing the fireplace with a smaller one, adding big new windows on either side, and mounting the tv over the fireplace. In the kitchen, he's going to put a smaller cabinet over the refrigerator cutout so I can get the fridge I want (only 2 fridges I could find would fit the hole and they were not attractive), take out the glass fronts on all the uppers (I don't mind having some, but when it's all of them, your storage ends up either curated beyond usefulness or it looks messy), repaint the cabinets, and replace the countertops and appliances including putting in a gas line for a gas stove. Yay! Hopefully all will be finished over the winter.
What's going on in your world?
Only 2 days to Aruba! We had our Covid tests mid-day yesterday and the results should be back in 24-48 hours so we should be able to be cleared for Aruba admission in plenty of time.
Good news - the new HBP med seems to be working. It is the 4th type my Dr has tried so I was getting very discouraged. My home monitor seems to yield the same results as is the office and i don't have much excess on my arms. I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00N9I63PG?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_ mob_b_asin_title
Yesterday I was checking my bank account and found this weird check "charged" to my husband by a company which doesn't seem to exist. So I have to close the account and set up a new one immediately. The bank says they will take responsibility for any transactions I tell them remain on the old one and make sure they are routed to the new one. I have a large cash transfer coming from my financial advisor today or tomorrow do I have to move it ASAP to my savings.
Not great timing to have to deal with this issue with my trip coming up! But I am not going to let it raise my BP too much...
Have a safe and healthy Thursday.

Good morning. I am feeling lots better and scheduled a pedicure for Saturday. It is so healing and freeing to answer to nobody but myself. Things are getting better. I've lost eight pounds in a week. Between stress and sore throat, not the best way. Not looking forward to tomorrow and sending Atlas with my SIL.

Construction here continues. Everything very much the same overall with me. Three more dogs are suffering from liquid poop now, so I'm guessing it's a bug. Hoping no one else gets it. It's pretty nasty, but at least they don't feel sick.
Hoping everyone is feeling positive energy in their lives. Sending lots of positive mojo to OceanDiane in FL.
