Today I have to drive 90 minutes each way to take DD for hand surgery. She needs screws and plates at minimum with some additional wire possibly. I sure hope she ends up with decent function as it is her dominant hand. At least the break mostly affects her middle finger, not her "pointer".
So our plan to do 9 holes of golf is shot. Mike is going to go back to his place and continue power washing his deck while I am gone for the day.
The holiday weekend is almost upon us. We need to plan food to cook on the grill over the weekend to avoid restaurant crowds. Though it might not be as busy as usual on Cape Cod due to rain forecasted all weekend. Covid won't affect it though. The traffic has been steadily increasing daily.
Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

I've cleaned out two more boxes and am down to the last two. After a beautiful 5 days, today is 45, gray, windy, and spitting. So I'm giving myself a break and will do the last ones tomorrow.
I might run to another nursery this afternoon to try to beat the Memorial Day rush to fill the flower boxes (18 ft of them takes a lot of flowers!).
Hope you all have good days!

DD, re Cruella, I saw this tweet and it made me chuckle:
"Cruella looks stylish, but one of the taglines is "Her story isn't black and white." I feel like we're all pretty black and white on the kidnapping and killing of puppies for fur coats, even if you had a rough childhood."
Good Morning from our 4th Lockdown - 7 day snap lockdown as we have the indian variant out in the community and its spreading fast.
Im at work - from all research we are still cleared to work. Im here by myself so thats not really an issue. Not a lot planned for today, chemist on the way home will be my highlight. Have had to cancel all plans for the weekend including hair appointment - as Peps would say BOO. We will likely work in the garden and move the road base up to the veggie patch to fini**** off - its wintery and cold so good to keep moving.
Food wasnt good last night - I snacked way too much after DH surprised me with meat & veg soup (perfect for winter) - that was the good part then the icecream and chips that followed certainly not!
Liz - Hope your daughters surgery goes well and she gets good function back
Diane O - Safe travels :) Glad its all going smoothly
Cec - You are making great headway - I loved the lilac's - so stunning
Hello to all that follow - I had best get my butt into gear and get some work done
Have a wonderful evening all - for me - Its thank god its Friday - yay
