Just 11 days to Aruba. The vaccination rate there is climbing and the disease rate dropping quickly enough that the curfews previously in place were just lifted. There are mask restrictions, no sitting at bars, and no dancing. Most restrictions on gathering size, etc. are in line with what has previously been in place in the US and are easy to deal with. As I mentioned previously, Massachusetts is lifting all restrictions after this Friday so it will actually be more open here than in Aruba.
So I am going through what to pack in my head already. I will need to start updating my packing list from prior years soon to stop mulling it over in my head.
I saw my doctor yesterday and my BP is back up. I have been on medication for it since I was in my 30's and it got much worse after menopause. For the first 1-2 years after WLS, I barely needed medication but it is kicking in again so my doctor added a diuretic to see if it helps. I did have to get weighed (yikes) and I was up the 15 pounds I expected. At least it wasn't more than that! It certainly would have been in the past before WLS. I need to work on it after Aruba - back to WW mode!
Have a safe and healthy Tuesday!

After yesterday's boat ride, I did start in on the garden. What a mess! I got 2 beds emptied and parts of a few paths (so I could get to the beds). If I did 2 a day, that would be 3 more days work? Not as bad as what I was thinking. I'm allergic to something I pulled and had red itchy bumps on my arms and legs, but a shower cleared that up.
Nothing higher than 72 in the forecast here for the next 10 days and mostly 50s to 60s. My kind of gardening weather!
I should probably go get to work...
Thought I would quickly check in. I have been dealing with some odd depression that has been creeping up over the past week or two. It finally really took hold the past two days. I know it will pass. It is a chemical thing coupled with some situational things - end of school, ron's retirement and his emotions, etc.... However, it does impact my eating and food choices.
Hope everyone is well. Sounds like a lot of positivity in our midst. Makes me smile reading about Aruba, pools, puppies, no mosquitos, and boat rides!
Good Morning All
I have been trying to get here most days but it doesnt always happen. Crazy busy with the new job but loving it so much - the days fly and the people are lovely
Weight - still just under my no go zone - 175.78 but I need to work on it
Had a hectic weekend, stayed at DSD Friday night then we pulled out some roses and plants from their front garden. Took up to the farm. Just as we got ready to leave my DSS partner rang - she had hurt her neck and he was away so she needed help with the boys. I sent DH up to the farm and I went over to stay sat-sun. Busy but good times and always nice to spend time with our gorgeous boys.
I have been chasing my tail since though. Back there last night to take dinner. Tonight I have exercise class then need to get some paperwork in order for my mum. An early night is on the list but will have to see what I can wangle
Have been popping past when I can to read and will try and be more present
Take care all
