Welcome to Tuesday! It is a beautiful day here on Cape Cod with the sun out, birds singing and a deck and screen porch all clean and ready to sit on. AND my outdoor shower is ready so I will be using it in a few minutes.

Mike proposed a schedule for golf (with no prompting from me) which I think will work fine. Friday afternoon, Saturday early morning and Monday afternoon. So I will plan things with my friends at those times. We tentatively talked about the two of us golfing on Wednesdays though I want one more week for my shoulder to heal after an episode with it last week.

DD had her first adult softball game in a few years last night and dislocated her finger (possibly broke it). Not good.

And sweet little Justice is having his teeth deep-cleaned today under anesthesia. I always worry so much when they have it done. He was shaking like a leaf of course when I dropped him off but I am sure he will be fine after today (though my bank account will be a lot lighter).

Massachusetts is also lifting all Covid restrictions as of May 29. Apparently we lead the nation in vaccination. Regardless, as DD pointed out caution will still be required by certain segments. But the light at the end of the "normalcy" tunnel is definitely shining brighter.

Have a safe and healthy Tuesday!

Typical May Gray here in CA (followed by June Gloom). I actually like it! It's a nice break from heat and sun and usually burns off in the afternoon.

Today my friend who will be checking on my house this summer is coming to get the key and have lunch. And I need to clean out my fridge as it's trash day.

I'm down to nearly no food in my house. Well, no foods I eat with any regularity. I'm not sure if I want to restock for a few days or eat what I have or do takeout...

We were so happy to hear about restrictions being lifted in Massachusetts. Some good friends had to cut their wedding guestlist from over 300 to 150. The reception is at some awesome venue on the harbor in Boston. We felt very privileged to make the cut, but now they should be able to expand their numbers and it will the party they had planned back in 2020. Yeah!!!!

So Cecily, you'll be in Michigan soon. I bet it will be fun to be in your house again, after not going there last year. Maybe bittersweet too, to return without Ferg.

80s yesterday, I got a few bedding plants in the ground, and a few potted up. Much more to do. It's drizzly today, which is good because plants and grass could use a gentle soaking. It's supposed to be summer like all week, and pretty humid, so storms will be popping up.

School is so impossible with kids bouncing back and forth between distance learning and in person learning. Every morning I check my roster to see who is in person, who to expect online, and who has been called in absent. It's so impossible, it's not worth getting worked up about, because there is nothing to be done except "just keep swimming". June is coming.

Liz, I like Mikes golf schedule. It's good for each person to have time to pursue their own thing.

Back when we had little kids, DH's foresome used to go at the crack of dawn on Saturday so everyone could be home for family time when the kids got up. I thought it was kind of sweet how the 2 guys with grown kids respected the schedule of the guys with young kids. And my DH has never been a morning person. That told me how important golf was to him :)

Hello all ! My washer and dryer will be delivered tomorrow ! So excited !! Last Friday night was my last load, so I can't complain about less than a week without. Our big excitement today was when our central air stopped working in humid 86+ degree heat. Maintenance came because no AC in this heat is considered a medical emergency. A snake ? had wrapped itself in the outside unit fan and caused the fan to stop turning. You all may remember how much I HATE snakes! Tomorrow we'll try out the pool at our clubhouse. That's all I've got !

Liz, doggie teeth cleaning is so important especially for little dogs. My vet won't offer the non-anesthesia teeth cleaning. He gave an example of a poodle who had it done religiously every 6 months and when my vet finally saw him and found he had dental problems he did a deep cleaning and the poor thing needed 11 teeth pulled. He said the non-anesthesia kind it pretty useless. So you're a good momma, even though anesthesia can be a little scary.

Just feeling wiped out today. I mean REALLY wiped out. I think it's a combination of not so great eating yesterday, allergies, and a mild lack of sleep and end of year school stress. Wiped out enough that I was going to cancel my training session this afternoon, until I realized it was already cancelled because of a dental appointment. I did almost forget to go to the dentist. Thank goodness for calendar alerts on my phone!

I had my own non-anesthetic cleaning (lol) today. First time they have used polish on my teeth since the whole Covid thing started. (I go for cleanings every 3 months, so it seems like a lot of polishings have been missed...)

Nutritional Food Intake was fine today. What was not fine was the 9 Lindt truffles I ate today. But, oh, well... done is done. Onward. Painter is here finishing the last exterior item - the front door. Yay! Landscape work is underway.... The work is slow going, but promising! I am looking forward to the additional planting area we are getting with the two walls.

I think that's it for today.
