Insomnia has struck again. Maybe 2 hours of good sleep early this morning? But no rest for the weary as we have a cookout at 2 today. We stayed at Mike's place last night but are leaving for mine after a beach walk. Constant coffee ingestion might be on the menu. But maybe not as I seem to have some indigestion from the ibuprofen I was taking the last few days for what was likely a rotator cuff tear (I had one previously). The pain has lessened substantially so I am going to forego taking it today.
The daytime temperature has been in the 70's most of the time since we returned home so it seems like it was a good time to be back up north again. Good luck packing for your migration Cecily.
Have a safe and healthy Sunday!

Liz, so sorry about the insomnia. That is so, so frustrating! Perhaps it is linked to move back to the Cape and the emotions wrapped up with the inclusion of Mike this spring??? Sounds logical to me.
Our house and my grooming shed are now old fashioned barn red. It is a delightful change and it makes me smile. We decided to paint the brick trim the same white as the wood trim and gutters. The orange of the brick was blah against the barn red color. The painters are back and hard at work this morning.
I did a "sculpting" boot camp yesterday morning and am feeling the aerobic aspect of the workout this morning. Between every set we had to do 10 squats. All in all I did 270 squats in an hour. My glutes are feeling it this morning! LOL! The sculpting work, not so much!
My late night eating went into high gear last night. In hindsight, I wish I had stopped and asked myself why the push to continue eating, but I didn't. I think part of it was a lower protein dinner and it was not satisfying. Oh, well...
Not much else going on here today. Have a couple of client dogs to groom, Dinah has a vet appointment around 2 and then I need to work on Lulu and Blitz, prep for the upcoming school week, post the lessons on line for the kiddos, meal plan for the week, blah, blah, blah....

Weight 185. 3 mile walk.
The overeating weight gain of yesterday is gone. I am starting to wonder if my thyroid levels are out of whack again, because if it was normal, I would think I'd be gaining with how I've been eating. (Overactive thyroid increases your metabolism and appetite, so would also explain being ravenous lately). I am getting my blood tests done Friday, so I'll see.
I had a great chat with my UK friend yesterday and she asked if I would come and see her this summer. I asked her how long she'd want me to stay thinking she might say a week and she said she didn't think we could get everything in if I was only there for two weeks, so three would be better. Okay then! I booked a trip for 3 weeks starting September 1. Thankfully I know we get along very easily over long stretches (we went to NZ and AUS together). I normally adhere to the "fish and houseguests start to stink after 3 days" rule otherwise! So I'll be packing my passport to go to MI as I'll be flying from there.
Today I'm headed to the movies to see the Billy Crystal movie with one of my friends. And I need to work on my packing/task lists pronto.
Hope you all have a great day! Wish you could sneak a nap in, Liz. Peps, congrats on the well earned muscle soreness! I don't think I could do a 10th of those squats!
Yeah! A 3 week trip. That is exciting!
