Hello all! I've been checking in, but posting is a challenge on my phone or tablet. I figure by the middle of June, things should be settled down. Pulling off this relocation in such short order has challenges and benefits. Our walk through was rescheduled for today because repairs took longer than expected. We've thoroughly enjoyed our time at the lake house. I'm learning to get out in the kayak at daybreak, avoiding unsettled weather and direct sun.
Food has been mostly fresh fruit, vegetables and fish. All of the physical activity and detail work have helped me experience food as fuel, not a way to soothe or medicate stress. Kayak meditation is also centering me. I am definitely happier near water and sun ! This move was a great decision and optimism carries me through the rough patches.
I know posting benefits the entire tribe. So true DD ! All of your posts definitely buoy me !

So great to hear that all is going well Diane. I need to follow your healthy eating routine!
I am a bit of a mess today. I finally slept well but my right arm is practically non-functional due to pain related to an old injury. It seems that I aggravated it during my insomniac tossing and turning the previous 3 nights. I need to pack and get ready to go away for 2 days but I had difficulties just brushing my hair. Arghhh...
Hopefully the ibuprofen I took will kick in as I have to drive 90 miles today to celebrate DD's birthday.
And we definitely do need more voices! Do people not need support these days?
Have a safe and healthy Thursday!

Weight 185.8 No idea how, I'm way over eating! 6 mile walk yesterday.
My departure date is fast approaching and I need to get on my lists and organizing. Today is the cleaning people again (how has it been two weeks?) and a walk and errand with a friend to pick paint at the hardware store.
Still doing some flailing on the food and life front. I have some work to do to find my footing again.
You've got this !

Diane, I sometimes actually go ahhh, when I feel my kayak move off the shore and begins to float. It relaxes me so deeply. And the sun on my face is a serotonin hit like no other. Enjoy.
Liz, boo to the painful arm. You are going through a lot of change again in your life. Even good change is still stressful.
Cecily, I admire your tenacity to regain your footing. I feel I lost my footing, fell into the puddle and I'm still sitting there trying to figure out how to get up when it comes to exercise, which I need, and a more thought out food plan beyond eating what's healthier.
Tomorrow we're driving the 5 hours to Madison Wisconsin after work to visit our son and his girlfriend. They are on some type of coffee quest to discover the elements of a perfect espresso, so I guess we're going coffee shop hopping. I'll be ordering decaf :)
Today a co worker paid me a compliment that touched me very deeply. Every day comes bearing some gift. That was today's.
