Welcome to Monday! We are off to Sarasota today, visiting the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, then poking around St. Armand's Circle. It is going to be HOT (90+), so we are hoping to get there by 11 am.
Yesterday we did a beach day and the breeze was fantastic at the water. Thank goodness as it would have been brutally hot at the pool. The SILs and I had a good talk about the issue with Mike's ex and how to handle it. And a close friend of our family who has been close to DS is going to check in with him this week and see if he can help him feel a bit better about the situation whether it is other issues primarily bothering DS or my relationship with Mike.
So much advice is happening. I wish life could stay calm and pleasant for an extended period...
Three days until I see Mike again. I don't like this separation.
Have a safe and healthy Monday!

Good morning from the final week residing full time in NYS !!! OMG !! It is sooo difficult to donate books and clothes because of Covid. I am not comfortable with the amount of stuff we are throwing out, but if I haven't used it in our four years here, it's GONE. Two weeks at our Airbnb on Swan Lake will fortify us for all of the details and our final trip to NY and back in early June. Our home goes on the market 05/01, and we're hoping it sells FAST.

Greetings All
We are so enjoying the puppies at this stage. Thats because they don't take much work. We just feed their mom, change the bedding and wieigh them. All hell will break loose when they become mobil. For now we just enjoy the suckling sounds and squeaks.
Finally got some flowers and got most of them planted in the deck planters. Looking forward to summer though I suspect CA will have a horrid fire season this year. Rainfall is behind
Watched the Oscars last night. It was kind of a yawn. I have seen none of the movies. Anyone?
Liz so glad you and Mike are doing so well. Family stuff will resolve somehow.
Kiln opens today. Not expecting much. Need to get busy.
Still have another week with this heart monitor. Makes hair washing difficult.
Gallery duty tomorrow. Last time it was pretty fun since quirte a few people came in. Though I am an introvert I really enjoy chatting with these tourists - finding out where they are from and what we have in common.
Not much on the food front. Maybe popeye pie tonight.
Cheers all. Time to weight puppies. Diane S
Good Morning All
Sorry I have been MIA. Its been a busy busy weekend and start to my final week of work...... Still up at the farm but we will drive back after work today.
Having the family up and Anzac went well. It was wonderful to spend time with them and have them all there to watch DH ride in the march. Special memories. Our oldest grandson didnt want to go home. We went to a community event to celebrate the revamp of the local tennis courts on Saturday - he got to have a turn of the fire hoses and got a fire hat then we took him Apple picking at DH cousins Orchard. He loved it. We picked up chesnuts as well and saw toadstools. Sunday was Anzac Day and he was on the go from 4.30am but behaved so well. Yesterday DH and I had to work but we managed to spend a chunk of the remaining time with he and his Dad before they headed home. My heart is full. We invited our neighbours over for lunch as we had made a frittata to use up leftover roast veg - sent them home with a bag of meat from the freezer. Last night was dinner with friends. Its been a very social time. So lucky.
Today will be work and clean up then home. I finish the final invoicing on Saturday morning then we have a farewell dinner. Lots of mixed emotions but I look forward to Sunday morning when I will wake up unemployed (well for a week at least) I am having breakfast with my best friend so that will be lovely.
I had best get my butt into gear. Lovely to read you are all going well. Liz I hope things resolve and settle with your DS sooner than later. Tension is always difficult.
Take care all
