We successfully settled our RV at her summer home outside of Albany yesterday. Today, we are facing measurable SNOW (after we sold the snowblower!). It is sleeting as we speak ! House pictures are tomorrow, and I'll spend the day today doing more packing/picture prep.

The top of my "normal" range is 149. My preferred range had been 139-144, which was a bit lower than I feel *******146 is where I am now, and where I intend to remain. Driving back home yesterday, I thought about my first appointment with my parents' internist, at 12, when I graduated from the pediatrician. I weighed 155 pounds and he read me the riot act in front of my mother. That is when my already activated shame was solidified and my mother brought me to Weigh****chers. I shake my head in wonder at the impact this one physical had on my life and think of all of the times I would have LOVED seeing that number.

Congratulations on your weight! It is so sad that sometimes people think they are helping us when they shame us for what we weigh or what we eat but don't realize that it has the opposite effect.

Still muggy this morning though it should improve through the day. Hopefully we will dodge the potential showers this morning.

Last night I cooked grilled chicken and made the pasta that DD mentioned the other day (at least I think it was the same recipe). It had bow-tie pasta, cherry tomatoes, feta, basil and olive oil. It was really good, but I would change the following: use 1/2 the olive oil (there was way too much), increase the cherry tomatoes, use 3/4 pound of pasta vs 1 pound. Minor changes but I think it would be even better than it was. Adding artichoke hearts might be a plus as well...

Today we are going to a beach town nearby to lunch at on outdoor place with a close friend here. SIL definitely won't go visit at Mike's, so it will be another 8 days until we are together. Not much else on the agenda other than talking and maybe watching a movie or series on Netflix.

Have a safe and healthy Wednesday!

I did just that, reduced the oil by half! 1/2 cup seemed lime too much. I used a bit more tomatoes, and I didn't stir the sauce into noodles. I boiled some noodles, and we each dished out what we wanted, and then put the sauce over the noodles. :)

Diane, oh those weight shame episodes. When I was in 5th grade, we had to line up and be weighed at school, I think I weighed 87 pounds or something, and felt ashamed because that's what some of the boys weighed(or less). When I was in 6th grade, my favorite uncle asked me to be a Jr. Bridesmaid in his wedding. (A role for girls I guess who are too old to be a flower girl). I was delighted, and then my Mom said, you'll need to lose some weight. What?! I readily agreed and that was my first diet. I did not yet weigh a 100 pounds. I would menstrate in a year. I don't think I was fat, yet. That was coming.

I just got home early from work because I had a diagnostic mammogram. I had a diagnostic one, meaning the radiologist reads it and gives the results before you leave. Everything was normal. Now I go back to regular yearly screenings. I was nonchalant leaving work etc, but my stomach started to clench as I turned into the parking lot, and I felt pretty emotional during the actual mammogram. But now I have a good memory to associate with the clinic instead of the cloud of dread which accompanied me when I came for my biopsy. Through all of it, I did receive the most compassionate, component care. And I am so happy with my new oncologist. So it's all good.

Greetings all

Puppyville here. All gained weight today. One had such a fat belly I thought it might explode! And Tesla is consuming large amounts of chicken. She eats far more dense protein at once than I could! And she is a 14 lb dog. But she is eating for six.

So I finally got out on the deck to clean up the planter pots so I can at least have a deck garden. Last years sweet peas were so wonderful and I see them in the store again. And as usual, I will plant a couple of tomato plants, nurse them all year, and then get one crappy tomato. Its just too cool here. Maybe I will make a mini green house from cleaners plastic.

Cleaning lady came today. I had her not vacuum the living room since thats where the pups are and she hates the vacuum.

Anybody else like Tejavo iced tea? No sugar, no other crap just good tea.

Yep DD I so remember child hood weight shaming. My doctor was kind but he would say I need to lose ten pounds by next year then I would worry all year. Being weighed was the most miserable thing I could imagine. Yep they weighed us at school and there was this one other really fat girl and they would whisper her weight. At least I did not get that treatment.

Lunch today was the leftover broccoli with cheese. Great lunch. Beats the heck out of a protein drink.

Cheers all.

Congrats DD on mammogram results!! way to go.

Very late pop in today - I am back at my happy place and enjoying the peace. Only bummer is the mice that seem to have taken residence in between the mezzanine floor and the roof - They had a fabulous party last night till the wee hours....... A job for DH when he gets up late tommorrow night. I dont think he can get into the cavity but he will go up and take a look. There are bait stations up there. Darn things !

Dogs and chooks are loving being up here again. I have counted the cows/bull and calves in the back paddock but they seemed intent to ignore my calls so I will pop down later and push them up to the front of the property and lock them in next doors so they continue to be giant lawnmowers.

Weather has definately turned - it was cold when I woke this morning. Thankful the mini house is double insulated and stays warm. Im yet to decide but I might go into town and get some groceries tonight when I finish. Or might put it off till tommorrow night - Will see how I feel - Im just enjoying the quiet. Im going to miss being able to work from here so much !

Well I have a million things on my to do list or so it feels like it - so I best keep moving

Take care all
