I am excited to get my Florida cut and pedicure tomorrow ! Wednesday we drive SS the RV to her summer mountain home outside of Albany NY. I think I mentioned that DH's sister has a compound (huge pavilion with sides, outdoor kitchen, w &d, hot tub, bathroom, water, electricity) with her 5th wheel parked on the 30 acres. She has graciously offered us a spot for summers. We're planning on leaving SS winterized, as we think it will be summer '22 before we can use her. So many balls up in the air ! Too busy to stress eat !

Still amazed at how fast you get things done Diane!!!

I did a bit more nesting yesterday and bought a bright quilt for the master bed though I will wait until the fall to put it out. There are perfectly good if dull ones on the beds for the summer tenants. I am getting lots of ideas for improvements. Like painting lamps and some coral decorations, new towels for the guest bath, new chairs and tables for the living room. I think I will recover the bar stool seats and swap out a few furniture pieces from my Florida home. All relatively inexpensive but will make it feel more homey for me. Good thing I am only here for 6 more days.

Mike arrives at 4 this afternoon and we will go to dinner on the way back in Cocoa Beach. Kind of a fun little beach town. I am really looking forward to being back with him though starting Sunday we will be apart for 10 days while my SILs visit. I will enjoy spending time with them but will not like the additional (and longer) separation from Mike. I am trying to get them to come here for 2-3 days to check out the area, but one SIL is still very paranoid even though she is fully vaccinated.

Not much else to report. Carry on!!!

Have a safe and healthy a Monday!

Weight 184.6. Down 3 this week (after last week's 2.8 pound gain) and 37.6 overall. Walked 3 miles.

I have two lunch dates with friends this week. I like being with friends, but admit I hate the idea of two restaurants in one week and what that does to my weight loss efforts. I admit it. I'm a control freak when it comes to my food. And I've been feeling like I'm back on track and don't want to mess that up.

Today I have therapy and Pilates. I washed both pairs of my walking shoes (in retrospect, not smart to do them together) so probably no wal****il tomorrow. They get so dirty on the dusty trails here.

That's all I've got! Have good days everybody!

Home from work on a chilly, rainy afternoon. 5 kids were pulled from one of my hours. Contact tracing in action, someone in the group earlier must have had a positive Covid test. Another student emailed to say his sister got infected and his whole family had to quarantine. So many of my nearest and dearest are at least protected by one shot, that I forget the massive numbers of people who are not. Like the 2,000 high school students in my school who are still mostly unvaccinated (I know a few 16 year olds who were able to grab an appointment). I hope these kids are going to be okay.

I'm tired as my brain had to play remember when, old grudge I should be done with long ago, keeping me awake last night. Usually a good sign that something is making me feel that feeling again, and I should pay some attention... some trips down memory lane are fun, and others not so much. I'm in a more settled place now, but not much energy for after work chores. That's okay, someone else can make dinner, and I'd be fine with some toast. Some reading, tea, toast and tv sound like the thing for this chilly spring evening.

Oh, you may have already seen on the news, while conducting the trial of Derrick Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd, ANOTHER black man, an unarmed man, was shot by police in Minnesota. When will this stop? Curfews tonight. A family destroyed. A 1 year old whose Daddy is dead.
