Last day entirely on my own here. I may do a bit more shopping, perhaps for a new quilt. I sent pictures to Mike and he liked the swap out of yellows for green/blue. I have a friend who has a mix of dark furniture and these colors and they look well together. Hmmm...I was just realizing that the lamps are wood so I can paint them!

Do you think I am nesting because Mike is currently in the same house with his Ex?? No comments about any discussions with her. Maybe they will happen later today after the kids leave.

Not much else planned for today. It is supposed to rain this afternoon but I might go to the driving range for a bit before that. I have lessons on Tuesday and Thursday this week and Mike wants to try 9 holes on Saturday. Yikes!

Have a safe and healthy Sunday!

Pretty much same old, same old here. Green light from NUT to focus on weight loss, but to be aware that the Eating Disorder is raring to kick in and take over. I was very aware of that yesterday. Also, during weight loss the scale once again can be my friend. It is one of the measures to use to gauge if what I am doing is working.

I am continuing with abstaining from chocolate. Life seems easier without chocolate candies involved.

IMO, decorating is like putting a territorial stamp on a habitat. One claims a space by decorating it. The reasons behind the action are wildly varied! I remember my mom finishing decorating projects while dying of cancer so my dad would have a well appointed home (clearly with her "touch") when she was gone.

More grooming today. BFF's b'day. He wants my grilled meatloaf burgers, so that's what he's gonna get! Ron will pick up a chocolatey dessert. Have to prep for the school week, too.

Enjoy your Sunday.

When I first started hanging out with DH, it was with groups of friends and we weren't a couple yet. I was interested, and he seemed like he was too. I started leaving stuff behind in his car so when he found it he would need to call me or bring it back, but also to "mark my territory" and let any other girls know I was around. It worked :) When he worked in an office with almost exclusively women, I sent him flowers once in awhile, because I wanted to surprise him, but I'll admit it was also to signal to a few of his coworkers he very much had a fiance. Gosh, that was so long ago.

It is probably a little disconcerting thinking of Mike with his ex wife right now. People come with a history. Doesn't mean we are entirely comfortable with it.

I got a fair amount done yesterday, still need to get at the upstairs bathroom. Benefits of a modest home, doesn't take super long to clean. Drawbacks, my kitchen is so tiny in terms of storage. It was small to begin with, but when we had the house built we put in a bay window, and lost a wall of cabinets and counterspace. Still think it was worth it, but I do have to be so creative about storage.

Today I am going to take my antibodies and go the mall and see what it's like. It's cold and dreary here, so indoors seems about right.

I took my first dose of the fosamax for osteoporosis. So far, so good. I have a friend who is a pharmacist and he recommended I take a teaspoon of honey 30 minutes after my pill to help with any gastrointestinal side effects. There's a prescription I can embrace!

Enjoy the mall. It is good to be able to shop again even if trying on clothes isn't allowed. It is pouring and thundering here right now but I may go to the store myself after it subsides .

Chicos dressing rooms were open. I bought a pair of pants for more than I usually pay, but now I know what size in case I see any good online deals.

This made me laugh. Have you seen the jeans styles this season?? Horrible, baggy things...

Weight 185.2. Same.

This morning was a reminder of why I want to move someplace less densely packed. My neighbors talk to their relatives (or friends?) early every Sunday morning on their cell speakerphone turned up all the way while walking around their backyard, putting them right under my open window as our houses are so freaking close together. I could have committed murder this morning. These are also the pot smokers, which drifts into my house. They are nice people, but I don't want to live this close to them anymore! Time to get off my rear and onto my first road trip to find a new home.

Day 3 nail update: one of my nail stickers may be peeling. Hmm. I guess I can peel it off and put a new one on.

Not much else going on here. Liz, your feelings seem perfectly normal and your nesting strikes me as a mix between you never having liked his decor from the beginning, your love of decorating, and being left to your own devices for a few days in what is becoming your home too!

Peps, congrats on the green light. And good job with the chocolate. I went to Easter brunch with friends and the kids had Easter baskets full of chocolate. I felt so childish, but I was so jealous! Of children... DD, enjoy your shopping. Shirl, any more news on the new job? Still feeling good about the decision? DianeO, I'm jealous of you and your quick move progress! DianeS, can't wait for puppy news. Maybe you can make goat milk yogurt with your extras?

It does sound like it is time to move on. I don't think many of us can move as fast as DianeO, but maybe it is a good thing to have extra incentive.
