I am late (10 am) so I thought Diane would beat me, but she must be working on the house prep.

I drove Mike to the airport yesterday to go to the Cape for the weekend. He sounded really happy to be with his family this morning, so I am glad he went. But it feels empty here and my walk this morning felt lonely. Hmmm... Mike suggested that I go to the beach club but I have never been there by myself. I know I am listed as a resident now, it it still feels weird. But I think I will put on my big girl bathing suit and go there. Last night I went out to a locals place and ate 1/3 of a burger. The rest will feed me for 1-2 meals, LOL.

So something I don't think I had mentioned. Mike's ex-wife (16 years post divorce) has been living at his Cape house for the last year. It was supposed to be temporary but she isn't showing signs of moving. He said he is going to make it clear that she needs to make a plan for moving. Kind of weird that she hasn't. She works as a nurse but has to commute 90 minutes each way. She gets a big chunk of Mike's pension and she could add some funds by doing Covid vaccines if money is the issue. In other words she should have the means and motive to move but she hasn't done so. I wonder if she is hoping to stay planted there as she loves that home? I have met her and she is pleasant, but it will be awkward when we stay at the cottage to have her sleeping in the next room. Hopefully it will get resolved this weekend and not end up being a battle. They apparently hardly spoke for the first 10 years after the divorce but obviously are quite cordial now for the benefit of the kids and grandchildren. Strangely I feel a tiny ***** of jealousy at her being there and not me. Which is know is totally ridiculous. So I am going to go to OUR beach club, listen to the ocean and read a good book!

Yesterday was hair color and my hair stylist said I have lots of little new hairs so the iron is working! Then I finished my book. I think the way it ended, she might write more with the same characters, but I had that sad feeling when you have to leave a book world you love.

Today I'm not sure. I may go get my car washed.

Liz, that would bother me too. 16 years?? She needs to live her own life apart!

Not much new here except THE SWIMMING POOL WILL OPEN MONDAY. Yes, we are down to tier orange. Not sure what the rules will be but I don't much care as long as I can bob around. Yay.

Gotta get a haircut. My hair is like my hippie days. Takes too long to dry and in the way. Gotta make a call. Ditto glasses adjustment. I think I hate making appointments because I hate time commitments.

Gallery work yesterday.There was a boatload of cash as someone bought a $1200 ring the day before and paid with a huge pile of bills. Thats what the dope growers around here do. Pay with wads of $100 bills.

Liz I don't blame you for feeling weird about Mike's ex being in the house. But its his issue I guess. Housing is difficult everywhere and house hunting in pandemic is weird. Somehow it will work out. And I bet you make some friends at the beach club. What a nice thing.

Not much planned today. Studio time.

Tesla is due the 16th. She will eat all the chicken you feed her but I cannot get her to eat any dairy for the needed calcium. Yesterday I brought home a quart of fresh goat milk hoping she would drink it. No go. I may try it since I like goat cheese but I doubt dh will touch it.

Dinner last night was a lot of broccoli with a little mac and cheese mixed in. Its a pretty good way to think you are eating mac and cheese.

Yumm, that Mac and cheese does sound good! So dogs don't crave what they need in pregnancy? Would she eat cheese?
