VSG Maintenance Group
April 7, 2021, Hump Day
It's great that you and DH can work out space issues. I guess I am lucky that Mike is a bare-bones kind of guy here in Florida at least. I have more stuff but not a ton here in Florida. The decorating is the biggest difference for us, but he will be okay with changes. And they certainly won't happen on the fast timeline Diane can manage! I think MIke's cottage is a little cluttery on the Cape but since I am not going to be living there full-time (that will be at my home), I can deal with it.

CONGRATULATIONS to Shirl on her new job!!!!!!!
Work was meeting after meeting today. I prefer to be with the kiddos, but such is life during the last bit of the Covid19 school year. We were given the happy news that come August 2021 we will be following new CDC guidelines at school, which means more kids in the class, for full days five days per week! Yay! I don't think at this point we will be back up to full class size (which for my grade level is 25 kids). I think my square footage will max my classroom out at 18-20 students, which frankly, is ideal! Fingers crossed.
My back seems somewhat better today after a workout, a massage and some Advil. Digits and limbs crossed that I am on the mend after a week + of discomfort and pain. Yesterday, I had thoughts of, "Oh no.... these are symptoms similar to mom's when she first got cancer and no one could figure out what was wrong." Can you say hypochondriac? My guess is that my sciatic nerve is involved and that is why it is taking so long to heal. The way the twinges happen, it almost feels "nervy" like the two times I've had a tooth nerve start to die.
Weight same as yesterday.
There is no getting around it - I am weighing again several times per week. I have no real issue with that, but I know my NUT is going to have a few things to say about it. So be it. My question is this: If I am wanting to lose weight and trying to figure out if I'm eating the right way to lose weight without really counting calories, how else can I judge IF I am NOT weighing myself???? does that make sense? OR does it sound more like a rationalization? I guess I could just go on and wait until my clothes are obviously too big. But.... at my size that takes a loss of about 30 pounds, if not 40, to really make a difference. It's not like I'm 5'1" or 2" and weigh 115. So 5 or 10 pounds is really not a game changer for me.
Our solar inverter went out and we've been producing much less electricity than we should have been. As such my electric bill went up over the last few months, which made no sense to me. At least the solar company monitors and realized what was happening and came and replaced the inverter today free of charge. I like how this company works. I do not lease the solar (which is a bit of a rip off deal), but own. The service the solar company provides for maintenance is really quite good, which I think is important when you own your system.
Off to take GOAT back to it's parking space.
