Back to regular days (no company or holiday). Today needs to be a clean eating day after yesterday. Though I didn't eat beyond capacity I definite ate stuff I shouldn't, especially as far a sweets go (my downfall). I think a food store trip may be needed to stock up on safe, satisfying and filling food.

We had such a great visit with DSD over the weekend. I am so lucky to have her as my daughter in addition to my other two. It wasn't always the case. When she was young her Mom made it difficult for her to feel comfortable with us. For the last 12 years she became much closer to all of us, including her Dad. And how lucky that she is still my daughter and supporting my choices now that her Dad has passed away.

My other two children spent Easter weekend together on Cape Cod. DD brought the new BF to visit with her brother. I haven't really been able to get full feedback, but I think it went well.

Have a safe and healthy Monday!

Liz, I will be joining you in healthy eating this week. My family and I committed to supporting each other this week in healthy eating. Each person can track their food as they wish, but we agree that if we are eating off plan, we do it privately, and do not offer non plan foods to each other. DH's birthday is Friday, and he will want a cake, so I will need to think about how to deal with that.

My daughter gave me some Easter candy yesterday. I ate what I wanted yesterday, and then discreetly threw away the rest.

I bought some of my healthy staples at Costco Saturday, so I'm prepped.

Today is the last work from home day. Tomorrow we are back in the building. Some of my classes will have 30 students. No way we can even give them 3 feet of space. (3 feet is the new 6 feet in education). I'm happy to be back to in person learning, but also nervous. I'm vaccinated, but they're not. With the new variants apparently more contagious, and infecting younger people, I worry for them. Our school district has shown they will quarantine schools if the infection rate gets too high (3 out of 8 elementaries have done 2 week quarantines).

Could be 80 degrees today!!! Might be moving this party to my deck. :)

3 feet in all school systems? I hadn't seen that and am surprised. Still a scary world.

No, not all school systems. The new 3 feet rule is a compromise by the CDC. In limited studies with school age children the transmission rate seemed to be unaffected by the lessening fo distance. However, this was done before the new "teen variant" surfaced.

Greetings All

Tesla was x rayed this morning. We are told to expect five puppies! Thats a lot for this itty bitty little dog. Now the crunch is on to get her to eat enough and especially calcium. Some days she eats and others she is picky. I gave her a whole chicken liver last night and she wanted to drag it around the carpet.

We went to Easter dinner with friends last night. So good to be in a normal social setting. Everyone is vaccinated though ours were just finished Saturday. One lady is suffering from Alzheimers and it was good to have her there and interacting and petting the dog. I took cheese crisps and my chicken liver pate which is legendary among those who like it and looks like dog poop to those who don't like it.

Liz you all raised those kids right. Loving and accepting. What could be better.

Hey Peps, still basking in your show wins??!! You should. Way to go.

Sometime during the past year my boobs decided to migrate south. I got sort of dressed up yesterday for the dinner and was appalled at how matronly I look. No amount of black sweaters does any good.

BB your girls are so adorable. So glad you dressed them up and made a big deal of Easter for them. They will always remember.

Cheers all. Diane S

Remember that mama dog mousse that Peps got for his mama dog? Didn't she scarf that, Peps?

Congratulations to you and the little mama. Good thoughts that all goes well with the puppies. When are they expected to be born?

Here to say I've been eating "on plan" since 7:30 am and it's hard. So 10 hours of good choices. :) I know if I can make it through a couple of days of healthy eating, it gets easier and almost automatic. I can do this!!!
