DSD arrived yesterday and we had a great time out at dinner (just the two of us). I told her about Mike and my cohabitation plans and she was really happy for us. I need to do the same with DD and DS. DD will react like DSD, but I am not sure about DS. I am going to ask SIL what she thinks about how to tell him as she has spent more time with him lately than I have. DSD talked about how much her therapy is helping her as well as the career coach she is working with. She feels that the investment will really pay off for her. I hope so!

Today the three of us are supposed to go to the beach club, then dinner out at the best old Florida restaurant in town. Breakfast out tomorrow, then Easter brunch. So no weight loss for me and I am starting to really feel the gain the last couple of days. I need to SLOW IT DOWN!

Hoping that Shirl has some news soon and glad that most of us seem to be doing well, including the making of big plans as several of you pointed out.

Have a safe and healthy Saturday!

It's good news your daughters are on board with your plans, and they are willing to get to know Mike. Hopefully your son will be too.

We are off to visit my parents. My daughter made them a beautiful layer cake. Now she's wondering how to transport it. Parenting and problem solving, it never ends! :)

Weight 187.6. Argh. Way overate last night.

I found a broken sprinkler pipe in my front yard yesterday and have a guy coming to fix it sometime today. And the friend of my friend's husband who is a volunteer at one of the vaccine sites said he would call me today if they had extra. Fingers crossed.

I had a nice chat this morning with the good family friend who was in the accident (gave her my lift chair). She seems to be doing much better, but has an appointment next week with a neurologist to determine if her broken neck vertebrae requires surgery. Ack. Hope not. She invited me over for Easter brunch tomorrow. So that'll be nice.

Nothing else to report! Have a great day!

Greetings All

Got shot up with #2 pfizer today. Yay. We are jumping the gun a bit to go to easter dinner tomorrow at friends but they are all long since shot up so I think we are ok. Actually went out to lunch yesterday for the first time in a year. Fun. Brought most of my Cobb salad home. My studio buddy also got her second shot yesterday so soon we will be back at it. We mostly sit around in there and get nothing done but oh well.

After going out to lunch yesterday we did a big outing which was to drop off stuff at the thrift store and then go to Target. DH said thats the bushiest he has seen Target in a year. Looked like a normal day to me but I have not been there. Looked around for Zeis anti fog lens wipes as they work well but no dice. No big purchases but it was nice to go in a store and not feel afraid.

I am hopeful that our scrabble group will start up again. It was at this one guy's house who is in his 80's but I am sure he and his nurse wife are vaccinated. We are all old and I am the last to get the shot so if I understand Dr. Faucci its safe for a small group of vaccinated people to gather in a home. Hope so.

Must make chicken liver pate today for consumption tomorrow at Easter. We will take stuff to our friends who can't attend dinner. Husband is a complete wreck and I don't know how he is still alive and his wife takes care of him alone. Very rough situation. Makes me grateful I can still waddle around the planet.

I have been watching the trial of the police officer who killed George Floyd. I find it interesting- especially the contrast to the OJ trial years ago which was a circus. Regardless of how this trial turns out, it seems they are proceeding in a business like manner for which I am glad. I used to wonder why old people were so fixated on news and current events and now I am one of the above. Its just interesting.

Telsa is getting porkier by the day. 13 days to go.

Cheers all. Diane S

13 days to puppies? Or until you are "fully" vaccinated? Either way, I am glad to hear that you have had both shots and can start doing more. Mike and I definitely were not on the most careful side (though not crazy either), but in the end we got it from my daughter who I would have seen even if I was very paranoid. But it will be so good to be able to gather without the fear.
