Twenty-three degrees and snow when we woke up ! Had a GREAT session yesterday with my therapist ...one of the best I've ever had ! The dentist was not as stellar ! When drilling around the filling I'd lost in a molar, the dentist exposed the nerve. She had to apply special seal prior to filling, and warned me a root canal might not be avoided. I mentioned the recurrent pain and pressure in the upper molar next to the crown she recently did and she took x-rays. That previously crowned tooth has a significant infection in the root sac. She put me on RX and referred me for a root canal.
Have a great day !

I don't know if you've had much experience with root canals. I've had over 10 now, the first one when I was 14 (so 1975). The technology has changed so much, they're more annoying (having to make an appointment, go to the appointment etc) than anything. I hope yours is as uneventful as my last one was. (Right before the pandemic started).
Sorry about the tooth issue. I have had to have a number of crowns done over the last 10 years but luckily haven't had to have a root canal (yet). It seems like old dental work breaks down when we get older?

Weight 186. Perfect on food, walked 3 miles. Scale still bounced up! There is no pattern to the madness, I've decided. I can see the wisdom of not weighing everyday, but I don't want to miss seeing the lower days as they motivate me.
Maybe Pilates today. I haven't decided. Maybe a walk.
Nothing else going on!
Often I see an up before I go down when I am being diligent on food. I think your body holds on as long as it can, then there is that "whoosh" of loss (per an article I read a few years ago).

Diane, so sorry about the molars! I am familiar with that type of discomfort (pain) and feel for you. Tooth/mouth pain can be quite intense.
Ceci, I understand the scale influence. Remember that is why I spent quite some time not weighing daily.
Shirl, sounds like things are looking up on the job front. Hope that is the case.
As for me, I have two dogs coming over this afternoon at 2 for grooming and a Costco run prior to that. My back is still bothering me, so I will get to the chiropractor after grooming today. BFF is coming over for dinner and a visit tonight.
Taking care of my brother's pup. OMG! He did not sleep last night. He just whined ALL NIGHT LONG! As a consequence, I slept very little, too. UGH.... I think because of Covid the pup has had very little social interaction (my brother is super high anxiety about covid, as I've mentioned) and doesn't understand canine social cues as well as he should. His obsession with Dinah is maddening.
Got my first mani-pedi in well over a year yesterday. The girl took a Dremel type grinder to my heel callouses my feet were so bad. Sort of cracked me up. It feels good to look down and see nicely groomed toes!
Weighed the same as I did yesterday. Had to make sure the scale wasn't stuck, so I picked up the French Bulldog and weighed while holding her. Stepped back off and on, and lo, my weight was truly the same. I'm going to call that a real 6 pounds gone. Now, to keep it off and keep going.
C'est tout!

I've started thinking about all the things I might be able to do more safely starting next Wednesday when I'm 2 weeks past my last shot, and I forgot about the joy of pedicures. Some things I chose not to do for my safety, but also the safety of the staff, waiters, technicians etc. My husband has been a frontline worker this whole time, and it just drove me to distraction at the beginning of the pandemic when people would come in his store and chat him up, because, "everything else is closed, and there's nothing to do". So I tried to think long and hard about what was essential, so I didn't also endanger someone else's life. Now that I'm vaccinated, there is a small chance I could pass the virus, but it is very small, and I will continue to wear a mask without complaint if that's the policy.
